One of the most enjoyable I've ever seen. Kudos to Carolina and especially 'Nova. That was a good show.

NC had every chance to put it away and just didn't. The last 30 seconds of the first half is a perfect example.

The entire game was incredibly entertaining. High quality basketball right there, shows what the NCAA tournament use to be when schools tried to actually develop a program with juniors and seniors.

You're right UNC needed to get a double digit lead going into half after hitting 7/9 threes in the first half which was very uncharacteristic for them. If anything though, I thought they were fortunate to shoot that well to stay in the game because Villanova was playing great defense to force long contested jumpers. It was an incredible game but I do believe Villanova out played them. It still blows my mind that coaches don't foul when up 3 at the end of a game at this level...Jay Wright almost cost his team a title.

The first couple of minutes of the game was pretty sloppy, but that's to be expected.
My only problem with the game was the inconsistent way the refs called the game. Looked to me like Nova got a large share of the 50/50 calls and was able to play D more physically than UNC was.
Other than that, great game, great players stepping up when it was their time to shine, and coaches handling things like they should be handled.

That was a great game. Hard not to feel bad for a guy like Marcus Paige who looks like everything you want in a college basketball player and student athlete. But I'm glad Jay Wright got a championship. He is an unbelievable coach and just as classy as it gets. Nova deserved that championship.

I hate Carolina and I even thought the refs were not calling the game equally.
The total fouls were only 4 more for UNC and the total FTs attempted were also only 4 more for Nova.
Nova didn't get called for a lot of fouls in my opinion though. They were reaching and bodying aggressively. NC was not able to do that.

I agree with you on the officiating...the refs called tickey tacky fouls that UNC seemed to get a majority called on. That was frustrating for sure
