Technically incorrect.

I don’t see how ND’s ceiling is lower than LSU’s.

ND is a bigger brand than LSU, but they have not invested in their program over the years like most SEC schools have. Their idea of a nutrition center is feeding their players microwave pizza. They pretty much rely on name recognition only for recruiting.

Could be true, but why don't you point out specifically where he is wrong?

When stuff like:

You're trying too hard!
Melt!
Troll!
Nu-uh!
and other stuff like this are said in response it seems like you do not have a rebuttal. Tell him where he is wrong in a clear, concise manner. It's a shame this has to be explained.

What TV advantage are you talking about? They still have an exclusive contract with NBC (I think?) along with the ACC...so I can only think you are talking about something else?

That said, ND has not been the heavy hitter for awhile, and LSU has passed them of late. ND still carries a lot of clout, fans and viewership, but as a program LSU is better at the moment.

The one where the were the only team on TV every week. Now every game is on TV. They no longer have that advantage. It isn't a coincidence that they stopped being that heavy hitter when they were no longer the only team on TV.

Gotcha. And, ftr, I agree. Back in their heyday they did have that advantage. I was not challenging you so much as wanting to clarify what you were saying. That said, they are still the only team that is on a major network station every week with their NBC contract. I was...and am loving it now thta they are losing 3-4 games every year. (The last 10 years they are averaging 3.3 losses a year)

This board 10 months from now when the whole country gets to laugh and point at the Tide because little Nick made Bama and not vice versa is going to be glorious.

Don’t disagree, he beats the non-elite teams he should, like LSU, but needs to win vs Georgia next year to show he can take the next step.

Except when he doesn’t, losing to one of the worst LSU teams since the early nineties and then getting embarrassed again by an LSU team that was projected to only win six games.

We’ve given y’all counter arguments for days and nothing works. The all knowing RANT has decided how the year will go. BTW, I’m sure they all had Michigan and Washington in the national championship game prior to the season(which shows you how predictions usually work out). So I thought y’all might do better with pictures…lol

Then give them to your own fans, because, as he pointed out, what he said he got from them.

The "all-knowing rant" has been having fun and saying Alabama is in trouble. I would say they are right. I mean you act like the takes are from out in left field, when many of the same takes can be found being made right on your own board in thread after thread.

1. People talk. You get to react to their talk and give your opinions.

2. People talk. You get to not even bother to listen.

3. People talk. You get to say their opinion doesn't matter.

(If you'll notice, in the OP I never told you they were right, wrong, funny, serious, etc. etc. etc. I don't recall telling you I or you should give credence to it. I did respond to an LSU fan saying I thought they had certain things wrong with my own opinion. I don't think you should necessarily give creedence to my opinion either. Hell, let's just stop discussing football altogether. That'll be fun.)

That doesn't speak to their "ceiling". Just to their recent success. Both are a national brand that recruits on a national level.

ND lost its TV advantage

They're the only school in the nation airing every home game on a major network(unless that changed). Meanwhile, LSU has games that stream online only. ND has the TV advantage over every school in the country.

LSU does have an advantage of bringing in conference bowl money but that only gave them a $100m to $97m advantage in football revenue last year.

As I said, it doesn't make a lick of sense unless their expectations are totally irrational. One of the guys has Deboer ranked 2nd highest in the conference only behind Kirby.

Do they think he should be first?

The whole thing was their rankings of every coach in the conference. I'll admit, lot of posts focusing on Bama over here. But they're getting paranoid and reading every one of them as if it's about them.

There was nothing to argue there. I didn't predict or give an opinion on a damn thing. I simply told you what your fellow fans were saying. You talk about what DeBoer will do, but rarely talk about your real expectations and what you'd be happy with.

That pretty much speaks to ND as having a higher ceiling. Just because they aren't using it properly doesn't mean that it does not exist.

A better claim would be that LSU's AD has a higher ceiling than ND's.
