That doesn't speak to their "ceiling". Just to their recent success. Both are a national brand that recruits on a national level.

It definitely does speak to theor ceiling. Elite recruits are in the south and no longer grow up ND fans because that's the only team that they have access to. These kids in the south don't want to go up to Indiana in the cold. Their parents can see them play anywhere now. Again, it's no coincidence that ND's downfall coincides with the access that viewers have to games now. The allure and mystique of Notre Dame is all but dead.

We've seen the same thing in college baseball. The popularity and parity have blown up exponentially with the access that online viewing has created.

They're the only school in the nation airing every home game on a major network(unless that changed). Meanwhile, LSU has games that stream online only. ND has the TV advantage over every school in the country.

How the games are views is irrelevant. Everyone has access to these games now. LSU may have one game now and then vs McNeese on SECN+. But, again, pretty much everyone has access to that.

I don’t see how ND’s ceiling is lower than LSU’s.

Part of the reason that Kelly left ND was the refusal by ND officials to compromise academic admission standards. The last time ND did this was during the tenure of Lou Holtz. Holtz won a national championship, but the image of the university was tarnished by some of the players that were allowed to attend ND that normally would not have had any chance of gaining admission.

And yet the national championship was decided between teams from Michigan and Washington state. These kids want to get paid. Your mindset is outdated.

Correct. Which doesn’t go towards your point of southern kids wanting to stay southern.

False. Not everyone pays extra for a full ESPN package. Everyone has NBC that has any form of broadcast reception, including antenna.

And on SECN which requires premium subscription

You’re looking at this through purple and piss colored glasses. I would be telling the same thing to Notre Dame fans who claimed to have higher ceiling than LSU.

And yet they still were able to compete for championships.

Don’t disagree, he beats the non-elite teams he should, like LSU, but needs to win vs Georgia next year to show he can take the next step.

If LSU is “non-elite” w/3 NCs & a 17-6 record vs Ole Miss since 2000

Question: Whats that make Ole Miss?
A: Pathetic
B: Losers
C: LSUs Bitch
D: All of the Above

Hint: Remember, its Ole Miss

I'll admit, lot of posts focusing on Bama over here. But they're getting paranoid and reading every one of them as if it's about them.

They see Alabama and just start to strike out. They don't bother to read anymore.

Elite teams don’t rush the field against the same team twice within 10 years.
