Booger was Mr. Winnsboro High, Most likely to succeed, etc... and that meant something because there were some sharp kids his age.

Very intelligent guy, and has always had a very balanced approach about life. You would have never known he was a stud recruit the way he handled himself back then (and now). He was very humble and well respected because he gave respect to those he came in contact with.

He got his size and character from his Mom, Nancy. After a few years in Tampa, and after his second contract was signed, he bought a nice piece of property on the outskirts of town and built his mother a stately home. Sadly the week or so before moving in the home, Ms. Nancy had a sudden heart attack and passed. Felt awful for Booger because he really truly adored his mom.

She is the one who nicknamed him Booger because he always was hanging around her as a kid.

For Alabama, I would say that it's Derrick Thomas

Different eras make it hard to say who is the greatest. Starr, Thomas, maybe Julio recently.

I will say this though. Watching Thomas and Bo play against each other was like watching men amongst boys. If I were forced to pick just one from Bama it would be Thomas.

I like his nickname more now that I know his momma gave it to him. He just seems like a solid guy. Sad she didn't get to move into her house he built but I'm sure she died excited about it and very proud of her son.

I don't know if Doug Atkins wouldn't be in the mix, too. But most on here aren't old enough to even know who he is.

I would probably say Jackie Parker, fewer people know him beacuse he opted to go play in the CFL for Darrell Royal, over the Giants. But he is in the NJCAA hall of fame, College Football Hall of Fame, Canadian Football Hall of Fame and Canadian Sports Hall of Fame. He also held the SEC single season scoring record for 40 years.
