All that money and you are still gay and you still have aids, and you still get upset with the horns down.

You will never be happy.

Yet another thread that has nothing to do with A&M but xwing/rancho/vinner and the other tu fans try to make it about A&M. The term "rent-free" comes to mind.

BTW, those two quotes really do not fit well together.

thought the Moody Center was owned by the city?

After more than four failed capital campaigns where only 10% of the money was raised, and donors gave the middle finger to the university. They had to get private funding and give up ownership of the building, and all its revenues for a decade.

None of what you said is true,

They get revenue from tickets sold for their sports only. But they don’t get a penny from any of the concessions during their own sporting events, either which is hilarious

Everything I said is true. It's sad how hard you try to make them look bad. I am thankful that you're an Aggy t-shirt fan and don't claim LSU

I see a pattern here, you personally post about Aggie in threads that have nothing to do about Aggie then you complain to others that Aggie has been mentioned in a thread that had nothing to do about Aggie and then you start talking to Aggies about things that Aggies do or say in response to you talking about Aggie

This pattern of behavior by you is pretty easy to identify now that we have narrowed it down

Texas gets a $400M state of the art facility for basketball and other events, with ZERO cost on UT, UT boosters, or Austin Tax payers

UT will always own the building and land, and Texas students and alums get priority over the public for all concerts and other events held at the Moody Center

And some here think that's a bad deal

Attention Colleges and Universities, This is the Way!

They forfeited over 27 million a year in revenue that they were getting out of the same events at the Frank Irwin center

That’s not zero cost plus the humiliation of publicly admitting that they could not finance it on their own after 10 years of trying was pretty funny to everyone that was involved in the financial planning

Actually that would be the dildo-enthusiast Buster83 whining about it. I couldn't care less how people decide to post on a message board

Oh god, NOT THE HUMILIATION!!!

How could we ever go on with our brand new arena owned in the University's name without an anonymous message board poster's approval???!??!!?

As usual, Old Sarge's elevator didn't make it all the way to the top.

The University of Texas' Moody Center is a $375 million World Class music venue, that also hosts basketball games. Recognizing the need for a modern sports facility that UT would only use ~ 60 days/year, UT choose to better utilize the land and facility in a manner that was befitting of UT and Austin's reputation for music and live entertainment.

UT owns the land and the arena that was paid for, constructed and managed by UT's partners. It appears a substantial portion of the revenue made its way into UT's coffers.

quote:

Moody Center is a multi-purpose arena on the campus of the The University of Texas at Austin.

UT formed a public-private partnership with Oak View Group, to build a new $375 million arena, replacing the Frank Erwin Center as the home for the Texas Longhorns basketball programs. The new arena is named the Moody Center following the Moody Foundation's grant of $130 million to the UT.

UT owns the arena and the land under building. Oak View Group is funding the construction, and will manage the building in exchange for the right to keep most of the income from non-UT events, such as concerts and shows.

Under the terms of the agreement, the university will have exclusive control of the arena for 60 days each year to hold men's and women's basketball games, graduations, and other events. Oak View Group, along with partners Live Nation and C3 Presents, will have the right to hold events on the other days.

The arena opened to the public in April 2022 with a two-night concert featuring John Mayer, with George Strait and Willie Nelson playing two shows later in the week.

The arena held its first UFC event in June 2022.

The Moody Center has been the home venue of the Professional Bull Riders (PBR)'s Austin Gamblers during the PBR Team Series season held every summer through autumn.

The San Antonio Spurs played two home games at the Moody Center in April 2023, marking the first NBA regular season games to be played in Austin.

There are 5 Aggie fans on this thread. Over twice as many t-sip fans and LSUcks fans. You alone have posted more than all the Aggie fans combined. Do you have a problem comprehending the English language?

Sorry for the butt hurt.

Over priced by $275 million. Anyone who has been to a concert there, it isn’t anything special
