Easiest road schedule I’ve seen in a while. When they faced good teams at the end of the season on the road you saw what happened.

No, it’s not your schedule. It’s because whenever Texas was allowed to be a part of the SEC was the same time NIL began. There’s nothing special about your school for your coaches. It’s that you’re able to spend more money than other schools. Therefore, the top talent come there. This will happen for the next several years until it’s changed or never. You will never have another Cinderella team in any big sport. It’s pathetic And that’s why college sports is destroyed. Stop thinking you’re special. lol

Of course, as a Razorback, I've probably hated the 'Horns much longer than most here, lol - still, this is a very tough conference and to win it in your first year should be very gratifying for you guys.
Every team in the SEC is good (hey, even Mizzou took three from Aggie), and nothing really matters but taking home the natty. If it's not us, I'd be happy for it to be you.

I still want to know how we had to go to Austin for all 3 major team men’s sports we did get anything of note in Athens

This is why Texas is not the south. Kentucky is the only school in the SEC who will seriously brag about winning anything other than the SEC Championship in FOOTBALL....because in the true south all of the other sports are merely pastimes until football returns. Other schools in the SEC would pretend to be happy winning a title in basketball or diving, about the same thing, but it would only be pretending because everyone but Kentucky, of the original SEC, not including the Johny come Latelys who are more like Texas in their interest in football than they are the original SEC, know that the only sport which matters is football. I am not suggesting this is good or right or anything else it is simply a matter of fact....the original SEC programs, the ones that actually matter and aren't just cash cows, are only concerned with football outside of Kentucky which is more akin to the midwest than the south.

Texas is Texas, a whole other country. Texas is not part of the South, and I know of not a single born Texan that thinks otherwise.

A let down at Arkansas was given. The sweep was not. Arkansas hit 4 HR in 1 game against Texas. Texas SEC opponents hit 11 HR in 15 games at Disch-Falk. It will take some time for Texas to adjust to playing in the smaller ball parks.
Florida scored 6 runs the 1st inning against Texas, and the teams scored the same number or runs the rest of the series. Texas played Missouri, not S. Carolina.
Arkansas finished 6-3, but had a 3-6 stretch losing 3 series in a row to Georgia, A&M & Florida. Arkansas played both Missouri & S. Carolina.
LSU finished 5-4, but went 5-7 during the middle of the season, losing the series to Auburn, Tennessee & A&M. LSU played both Missouri & S. Carolina.
Vandy finished 7-2, with a 3-4 being their worst showing. All without playing Missouri or South Carolina. Vandy did not play Texas or LSU.
Texas finished 3-6 and won the SEC Championship 2 games.
