Texas benefited from an easier schedule because of their performance the last ten seasons. Oklahoma, which has been better overall the last ten seasons, got the harder schedule. This was brought up after the schedules were released by local media as they talked with SEC officials.

No complaints here. Texas is now what Oklahoma was for the late Stoops years and Riley years. Sooners are now down in the dumps. Texas is playing like a legit championship contender and they are 100% CFP bound if they get past Georgia as there are no roadblocks to follow.

LOL at thinking Texas has anything in common with Mizzou.

We have our 3 primary rivalries back. Mizzou only has one rival and that is in a different conference.

Mix in NIL and the fact that we have been ranked #1 more weeks this year than you have in program history and yeah not the same.

Neither of them need to be anywhere near the SEC.

Same goes for TT and OSU. They can both continue to die on the vine.

Some of these fools will probably suggest Rice and Houston next. Morons.

Not denying our always a bridesmaid never a bride history that could lead one to reasonably conclude that Kyle Field was built on an Indian graveyard, but NIL and the transfer portal changed the game. The "take 4 years to develop your players and integrate them into your program culture" days are long gone. You're gonna see traditional powers lose/be outbid on star players, and teams generally shuffling pieces around like crazy. Think John Calipari in his 1-and-done heyday except every program is gonna be doing it.

In short, I don't know WTF to expect, but I'm sure a lot of poons on the rant will complain about it and accuse the winners of cheating

The conference doesn't need Tech. UNC or UVA are better prizes.

Let Tech try to rule the Big 12 if they can best Iowa State or Kansas State.

To be fair, Rice is a great comp for Vanderbilt though.. but yeah, hard pass

This needs to happen, but Birmingham still values markets over matchups for some outdated reason(s).

This is the key part. Rosters are simply more complete now barring injuries.
Used to be that teams without a lot of depth would always have gaping holes that couldn’t be fixed before more opened up. Now they just put everything back together every offseason.
