You could see the game slipping away from UT as the game progressed. Still missing some elite players. Another really good recruiting class should get you close.

The great irony in this to me is that Texas wrecked the Big 12 with its greed: unequal revenue sharing, building in the Longhorn Network in lieu of a Big 12 Network, and moving the conference headquarters to Texas. Fast forward a decade and Texas will join the SEC as an equal member and will subsidize Mizzou athletics.
