Speaking of which, did Vernon catch an NFLSU type break?

This was supposed to be The Year of the Arch and by extension a team contending for the National Championship and it has failed, maybe not spectacularly, there were some survivors but the plane definitely went down.
Give it up man. There's a large portion of our fan base that want to give out participation trophies and orange slices.
Maybe the ridiculous woke bullshite at the school is bleeding into the fanbase
We don't have what it takes to be the kind of program that Georgia or Bama has. I've come to terms with it. We can just thrive on moral victories and wins over Oklahoma and hopefully the ags.

Exact same path Jimbo went down….yall are in for a long miserable ride.

Oh I know. Trust me. I knew this after last season. You can only see your head coach be completely outmatched by elite coaches just so many times before it becomes crystal clear
I'll live. It's just a game. We all take it way too seriously
At least knowing we are out I can root for the Ags to win it all guilt free to support my Aggie friend battling cancer. I'd love for him to see you guys win it all before he's gone. He's holding on for dear life because he said he's not going until he sees this season end.

I wonder. I'm surprised he isn't chiming in.

He shouldn't. I don't know a single Longhorn fan let alone human being who thinks thats funny to make a joke about that tragedy.
Posted on 11/19/25 at 1:56 pm to TexasWranglers
Yeah, his delight, in delivering that shite was weird. What type of individual does that? Just a bad human.

Of course I do. However, I don't buy into pre-season hype from media outlets who get it wrong more than they get it right. Their job is to sell a space and have people like us listen/watch them.
While I was excited and I predicted Arch to be a top 25% - 50% QB at the end of the year in the SEC (he likely will finish around 50%) I knew there were enough holes in this roster that we could see some regression if things didnt click early.
All I am saying is Sark shouldnt have a hotter seat just because the media over hyped Texas given he is 7-3 with the schedule. Lets see how he ends the season and what changes he makes next off season.

he says that in the middle of the season, lets see what the off season brings.
Im willing to give him the benefit of the doubt to make changes.
I saw one as well but I am young enough I want to see another or 2.

hookem, you are a unicorn among the orange faithful.
I swear I have never heard a UT fan say anything like this and I am serious.

I am convinced he doesn't have it but it looks like you are going to get your wish. I'm not going to fret over it but if we still look like arse next year I don't want to hear a single longhorn fan complain. This is who he is.
Unless by some miracle he can step back from the play to play stuff and be a CEO which should be his primary job. I just don't believe he's willing to do that.

At this point, athletic departments might as well keep a honeypot on the payrolls. None of them want to honor their original contracts.
That's a conspiracy theory waiting to happen right there.
Who is the Jeffrey Epstein of SEC coaches??

I'm still in a circle of 5 friends who all graduated Texas the same year. We all feel this way to some degree. I was a fan long before I went to school there.
Life is good. I got to live through the 2005 season and there are a lot of fans of other schools that would love to trade places. That's good enough for me.
Sark may not be an elite coach but he's good for the occasional Bama '23 game. Those are fun at least

The biggest things for me were, in no particular order:
1) the non development of Manning (3rd year with program....what has he or QB coach been doing)
2) non use of the portal for OL replacement & depth
3) non use of the portal for RB
Seems like coaching malpractice to me, but what do I know.

1. 100% coaching malpractice. Almost everyone agrees. Where the base is fractured are between those who want him gone and those that think he can fix it.
2. see above

We all agree he checked out this season. Whatever personal stuff he has going on that to led to this, I hope he gets sorted out. Last season was probably the best team he's ever going to have here. Veteran OL, team full of draft picks, veteran qb, and he goes 0-3 vs kirby and day. Frankly I don't know how anyone can look at that and see that he's the guy but I'm just one jackass on a sports forum. The people cashing the checks are the ones who have investment in all this. If they are ok with him coming back so be it.

That seems to be the case, unless he suddenly got real busy IRL.
