Media is 100% painting us as a villain for even thinking of not handing him the job. If we go to the FF I'd be very surprised if he doesn't get the job, if he doesn't already have it.

He’s been a very successful interim coach. That can’t be disputed at this point.
Not going to comment on OP from alter troll and Texas’ path.
Just here to talk about RT. He appears to have the humility that Beard lacked and is responsible as the lead recruiter for many players on this team as well as incoming recruits. If he can successfully navigate the portal, which he now has tangible success to point to, he could do well here. Also of course crucial to retain this staff or keep it at similar quality. But he has a lot of advantages with his institutional knowledge of the university and the state. And at Texas he will have a war chest at his disposal and support that he didn’t have at those other places.

Actual Texas alums are having fun watching this team in the tournament while knowing they could lose any upcoming game.
With respect to interim head coach Terry, it would be foolish for our AD CDC to miss what is working. Terry is obviously a good game day coach. Our kids are motivated with a great attitude, and are playing unselfish team ball. They like playing for this guy.
Terry is a Texas guy, and player parents in places like Houston and Dallas will trust him with their kids. Terry will get tons of money and support to recruit the portal.
This is a troll board, so troll all you want. In reality, I know none of you SEC fans of teams still remaining will take us lightly if we are your team’s next tourney opponent…

Would love to see a Houston v Utx match-up at some point. Would be a real nightmare scenario for Utx to take on an inspired Houston team, and Houston would be inspired. Fingers crossed for this matchup. In fact it will happen if Houston beats the winner of Miami/Indiana and Texas beats Xavier. Can't wait to see.

I think this is less of a hot take than the down votes indicate. You also beat our all freshman crap team. We’ve overachieved by making it this far, so we’re out of the discussion. Also, it’s March now. Not a practice scrimmage in your house. Just remember that it’s a tough games when both teams want it in any sport (if we cross paths). Until then, I’m just glad to be here - #BlueAngels
