An institution under contract with the NCAA allegedly counseled several NFL players to sue the NCAA for eligibility. It's a pretty big story.

Not a melt, Lane was just at Ole Miss when Ole Miss began researching Trinidad's eligibility.
People asking "Well why isn't anyone talking about Trinidad?" well, because they already did. It was the biggest college football story of the spring.

Lane was there when the ncaa request was filed. You said a FOIA request would show lane was involved in the lawsuit against the NCAA. Lane was long gone. DUI Pete and OM did that all on their own.

Because now Sankey has sole authority to determine eligibility. And the NCAA has declared TC out of eligibility. A Ms court said he has eligibility. Sankey should rule on this since there’s disagreement between the NCAA and the courts.

For some reason, the SEC seems to be fine with players like Pavia and Chambliss receiving extra years of eligibility for bogus reasons, but they draw the line if you signed a pro contract. Even though college players are signing contracts and being paid now.
Interesting distinction there.

They’ll defend it to the end because they got nothing else. I really don’t care one way or the other but they should be consistent. We have AARP Chambliss playing at 24,some 22 yos not playing because they got a UDFA contract, and some other guys who didn’t get UDFA contracts but still signed NFL contracts to participate in mini camps playing. It’s just bananas.

He’s full of shite. Hutson was compensated and signed an agreement per the NFLPA collective bargaining agreement in order to attend minicamp.
