If they could rip through several wins in a row, I would imagine it would be a boon to recruiting

6 straight wins from 1984-1989 resulted in the NCAA snooping around A&M twice.

Sam is a good team. About on par with Troy.

Then you should lose 6 in a row to them as well.

a7m to Bama

a76-37-5m to Texas

a77-0 3Qm to OU

I mean, you say that like it's a bad thing.

Unless garbage truck workers' conventions are your thing, in which case, to each his own.

You'd find a way to moan about winning the lottery.

No. Effing. Way. Been burned too many times to sign up for that.

We don't need to play them to prove ourselves.

We don't need to promote their shitty network.

We don't need to deal with their shitty refs.

We don't need any of it. Let them beg for years.

That's a lot of time and effort to say you don't care.

No thanks. After we left we told them we'd play them "any time, any place", they refused and tried to black ball us from playing TX schools. So frick them, never again.

Why would aTm want to play them again? Sure it would be great tv, but after what Texas did to them with that Longhorn Network BS I don't blame them.

They turned down an opportunity to partner in a Lone Star Network and it was one reason why their former athletics director was run out of town (because he didn't think anyone would offer such a contract).

Kind of like when they got 1/3 of the oil money... they had first choice so they went with "1" third. Silly aggies. frick 'em.

Bill Byrne "retired" in 2012, almost 4 years after what you are saying got him fired.

No, what got Byrne pushed aside was his publicly speaking out against the SEC move and taking steps to undermine it. What also got Byrne fired was his insistence on trying to keep A&M off TV in the 2008 and 2009 seasons thinking that it would fill the stands if the only way to follow the game outside the stadium would be Dave South.

frick that game between two mid tier teams, he needs to step in and get the people in Rockport paid from the storm.

Texas windstorm insurance is trying to cheat these people who bought the insurance.
