If they lose in Knoxville they will again hear the constant comments about how they should never have joined the sec and how they are not ready for the brutal sec scheduling.
They have all of the talent advantages against Tennessee and there is no reason they should lose this game.
It is a must win for them.To lose would send their season into a tailspin.

Really insightful. I’ve done a very thorough analysis of this matchup. By my math, we need to score at least 1 more point than Tennessee to win.

People try to read way too much into a loss... knowing that the chances of any SEC team to navigate their schedule without a loss is increasingly low.

Tenners are doing it to themselves again. What chromosome is missing with this group. Has a millennium of moonshine altered the brain’s capacity for self awareness? Y’all are the little yapping dog annoying the frick out of everyone but yourself. Barking at every bigger dog you see doesn’t strike imminent fear or danger. When patience boils over - quite frequently - the incessant yapping becomes intolerable for literally everyone breathing oxygen - even dog lovers, like myself - to the point that the only way to get some peace and quiet back is kicking the shite out of you like a little peewee football. It’s cruel but works everytime. Y’all just regenerate and heal without memory of why. Scientists should look into it

It is definitely a must win for Texas. If UT loses everyone will just say they were supposed to lose. All UT has to do is play well and keep it close. But Texas has to have the win or the wheels will come off the bus really quickly.

And why isn't Tennessee feeling it? Heupel is seldom discussed as approaching a must-win. This is a huge moment for the Vols football program. They have a #1 team, not named BAMA, coming into their place. Heuple made one playoff appearance and flamed out badly. If Heupel ever makes the Vols a national threat, the time is right now.
