well obviously since Mateer has better stats, I would take Mateer over Manning

I hope arch can pick it up like he did in the second half of last season. Maybe he’s just a slow starter. Maybe it’s Sarkisian’s playcalling I don’t know, but I do know. All he has to do is be an above average game manager for this team to win a national title. Just don’t lose us the games he does seem to play better when it matters most and gets the job done.

The question I want an answer to is how is it Arch Manning's stats are on par with a QB whose play has been so bad an entire fanbase wants the coach to play his backup?

That’s my point. OU fans would gladly trade Mateer for a few of the names on this list. Arch’s mediocrity hasn't cost you a game yet though.

Sarks big problem as a coach is he recruits the wrong kind of QB for his system. He should go after the kid that processes quickly and goes, not guys liken Quinn and Arch. They are great kids but DO NOT see the field or understand Sarks offense. In the Tenn game receivers were breaking clear and Arch never looked their way.

Perhaps, but that doesn't mean he isn't a good QB.
Last year he got electric when all seemed lost and he just decided he didn't GAF.
They are trying to stuff him in a box too much, let him be wild.
