Not when we’re hanging natty banners. We haven’t won the SEC regular season title in almost a decade. Yet, you rarely ever hear LSU fans bitch about it. That’s because we know winning in Omaha is the ultimate goal. SEC titles are nice but they pale in comparison to nattys. Y’all’s program doesn’t know much about that. At least in your lifetime anyway.

Winning a SEC Regular Season Championship is important and when fans and players look back, it will grow in stature. In the here and now moment, Omaha is obviously the destination. But winning the Conference does count for a lot and it almost guarantees you a National seed.
And it is hard to do.

It really doesn’t matter. As I said, winning in Omaha is the goal. It looks like we’re a lot closer to doing that than yall are.

This is when you can see the difference of where programs are at the moment like a tractor beam. League play is a stepping stone towards the ultimate goal. If you were an LSU fan boasting about a league trophy while our team was the #2 national seed having lost to UTSA and playing through the losers bracket I would tell you the same thing.

For months the league trophy seemed pretty important to a lot of fans up here, up until Texas won in (in a rebuilding year btw) and then fans like you suddenly say it ain’t important. Whatever dude.
Texas played like dogsh$t last night against a damned good UTSA team that’s having a historical season. It’s called tournament baseball, something both LSU and Texas know a lot about.
And of course it’s about getting to Omaha. For Texas (and LSU, et al) it’s always about getting to Omaha.

Yeah…or we live in a town that has actual culture, options, it’s summertime so a lot of people are out of town, and we know we are beating ksu. We stranded 14 yesterday I think we are fine today.

Yes, they are. I was surprised by how few showed up at the college classic in Houston in 2024. LSU fans dominated the event, and it felt like Texas fans didn’t know it was happening in their home state.
