2002 is recent? wtf?

That was R.C. Slocum's last year coaching A&M. Franchione came in and put our program in the shitter starting the very next year. Add in the fact that we were stuck in the same conference as texas and of course we got buried.

You're comparing apples to oranges trying to undermine our success from last year. Look, y'all have scoreboard. Good on y'all, happy for ya and all that.

A&M had a more successful season, and we're excited to try and continue that success. Quit letting your jimmies be rustled by fans acting like fans.

It's mind blowing to LSU fans that other teams will improve next year. Foreign concept.

Its not like y'all have never pulled an upset before. Y'all beat OU in the recent past when they were number 1, too. I think we know that didn't do shite for y'all's program, but now all of a sudden beating Alabama does.

We went 6-6 the year we beat OU. Not the same thing.

Yeah, Sumlin coached a Freshman QB to a win over a #1 team in THAT game, too. Difference now is that we're keeping him, instead of letting Bob Stoops steal him.

Do you seriously not understand why we could be optimistic after defeating two conference champions, including the national champion?

I would say that was one of LSUs more average teams in recent history. About like this years. Roughly in order - 2003, 2007, 2011, 2006, 2005, 2012, 2010, 2004, 2009, 2008.

You see where that 2010 Cotton Bowl team ranks in the past decade - 7/10.

You trying to marginalize 11-2 is hilarious. I remember another team that finished 11-2 and won the cotton bowl in 2010. Were you proud of that team? I'll wait

Nope, they're LSU and have expected to compete for national titles every year since the beginning of college football in 2000. 11-2 is a dissapointment.

I wouldn't call crappy depth a good thing. You're defense was nothing special.

That's a fancy way of not answering my question. Were you expecting great things in 2011 is my next question. You won't answer that one either.

Who said it was crappy? I said it was young.

Meh, it ranked sixth in the best defensive conference in America. It was solid enough.

Meh, it's late (or early, depending on how you look at it, I guess), and I'm bored, so I'm grateful for the shenanigans in this instance

lol ok

Remind us how many picks LSU's all world defense forced against Bama last season?

Surely the defensive unit that forced 3 turnovers, including 2 INTs of a previously unblemished AJ McCarron hailed from Baton Rouge and not College Station, right? Correct me if I'm wrong.
