On an unrelated note to the actual point you were making, I don’t recall the last time I looked at a county map of Texas. That’s just an insane amount of counties, even factoring in how big Texas is.

Thanks for that graphic! It backs up my ancestry research about my mom's side of the family. They left Mississippi for Walker Co. Texas and some came back before and after the Civil War. Pretty cool.
