"As good as Oklahoma was at times during that period they were middle of the pack good in the SEC."
OU was usually better than even the best team in the SEC in most of the years in the 2000s, and definitely even with Bama and UGA in 2017. Even in 2018, a year everyone acts like we got trounced by Bama, we lost by 4 more points than UGA did that year to them. We absolutely dogstomped ranked SEC teams in NY6 bowls in 2016 and 2020.
All that to say, your statement is just laughable. OU has had issues beating the SEC champion, usually losing very close games to them in the CFP or BCS. Outside of that, we generally have no issue beating SEC teams.
Y'all will find out soon enough. Maybe not this year, but you'll be surprised how much we hold our own going forward.

Texas fans and Texans in general, do have some weird superiority complex all rooted in the fact that their state occupies a land area that should be 3-4 states.
That's not entirely the reason.
You are 100% correct it is only part of the reason Texans have a inferiority complex and cover it with braggadocio The biggest reason Texans have an inferiority complex and cover it with braggadocio is because they almost universally are the spawn of people who could not make it where they were originally from and drifted toward Texas like so many unrooted Russian Thistles (tumbleweed for the less educated) and, unable to take root and do any better anywhere else wound up in Texas as the last possible place on the planet they hadn't already failed in. Thats goes for almost everyone in Texas except Hispanic folks who have tolerated the invasion for a couple of hundred years. As has happened with the downtrodden and unwashed masses throughout the history of man if they ever stumble back assward into progress, through no effort of their own because they have proven incapable of making it on their own merit, will arrive at the conclusion that they did it on their own. This happened when oil was discovered in Texas. Through absolutely no effort other than failing miserably to scratch out a living elsewhere Texans became residents of a state with an ungodly fortune of natural resource that no one knew, especially Texans, was anything other than a nuisance. Deep in their DNA they know what they are, they put up a front as people who know they are inadequate are wont to do, to mask their insecurity. They are akin to a gang member killing someone because they stepped on their shoe....all they have in the world is their inflated self image, baseless as it is.

Although Oklahoma fans hate Texas with every fiber of being, the slander against both programs on this idiotic site have forced sort of a tolerance for the time being. It’s the both of us vs the sec until you disrespectful clowns have learned a lesson. Both teams are going to win in this conference we are blue bloods. Two of the only four you now have.

While I respect the hate, the same could be said for all Americans (minus native Americans).
We are all ancestors of people who came to America to better their lives.

Considering Oklahoma's penchant for bending over whenever Texas barks, I'll defer to your expert judgement on what does and does not constitute such.

Georgia was originally a British debtor's colony which offered those who could not pay their bills in England due to ill-advised wars on the continent and massive economic upheaval an opportunity to pay off their debts by populating the newest colony which was needed to keep the Spanish in check in the new world. Interestingly enough slavery was not allowed in Georgia originally as Georgia's founder, James Oglethorpe, was of the opinion that slavery made slave owners lazy, which it certainly did. This was a very progressive and unpopular sentiment in England and the rest of the colonies but it was well received by the immigrants bound for Georgia, mainly because they could not afford a slave anyway. Most of those immigrants paid their debt and built what is known as the Empire State of the South, a regional hub of commerce and culture in a wasteland of neither. Tennessee and Alabama was the wild west, an untamed frontier. The Carolina's away from the coast was similarly situated while the coastal region of both Carolina's were home to the most notorious and corrupt human beings the times had yet produced. Those who were incapable of making it, either through wit or grit, drifted west and wound up as broke and destitute in Texas as they had been in England despite having passed through an entire region where others similarly stricken in Europe managed to find a foothold. Georgia, originally founded to provide a barrier between the Spanish barbarians in Florida and the Gulf Coast and a people whose only crime had been loyalty to their king and country is where Georgia's current population came from. Those who could not cut it wound up in Texas.

We are indeed. It is posited that even Native Americans came here from Asia because of famine and natural disaster...or to better their lives. The difference is, even in Oklahoma where stealing land was a way of life, Texans were the dregs of society unable to make it anywhere and landing flat on their asses with no way to move on in Texas. Oil made the state wealthy and they concluded it was a result of merit and not luck. They know better and suffer miserably for their knowledge thus over stating their worth in an attempt to mask their well-founded self-doubt.

OU was not on par with UGA and Alabama in 2017, OU was not on par with Auburn who beat UGA and Alabama in the regular season in 2017.
In the 2000s OU played a murderers row regular season schedule against the likes of K State, Kansas, Iowa State, Baylor, Texas Tech, TCU. Its a wonder that OU survived physically playing those high end South Georgia and average Metro Atlanta high schools.....
Beat 8-5 Auburn and had played Houston, LA Monroe, Ohio State (lost by 3 TDS), TCU, Texas, K State, Texas Tech, Kansas, Iowa State, Baylor, West Virginia, and Oklahoma State. A veritable whose who of who the frick is that in the world of CFB with the exception of Ohio State and Texas, one of which beat you by 3 TDS. Auburn was the fifth or 6th place team in the SEC.
In 2020 Florida was the Third best team in the SEC. They were 8-4. Had Vandy not cancelled on UGA the same record in the conference as UGA. UGA. Again, OU played Missouri State, K State, Iowa State, Texas, TCU, Texas Tech, Kansas, Okie State, Baylor and Iowa State. Outside of Texas once again a slate of games against "who the frick???".
Oklahoma will do well in the SEC as will Texas. I won't be any more surprised when OU holds its own in the SEC as I have been for my 51 years of following CFB when OU managed to hold its own against a slate of programs who have been rent a wins for the big 6 in the SEC over the years. Being in the middle of the pack in the toughest conference in CFB is not an easy task....
