Yeah, I was going to see if a KY or Louisville poster would chime in. Back when my little one was involved in the nightmare of competitive cheerleading, those were the schools that seemed to be winning everything.
There are lots of divisions and multiple cheerleading associations, so I don't really know who the de facto national champion really is. Maybe KY focuses on the co-ed divisions.

Kentucky is so good, many of their routines can not be performed in competition because of injuries possible if done by lesser squads
Kentucky has the intellectual property rights to most top moves. Like you can copyright choreography in dance, moves in cheerleading can do same or similar.

I think Louisville's squad is more female and dance based while UK's is coed and is more gymnastics type stuff. Line Beards are good but not as many titles as UK

Probably not a coincidence their mouths are open like that.

Note to you guys with young daughters. Don't let your wife get obsessed with being the parent of the next world class gymnast. My oldest went from competitive gymnastics to diving and finished off with competitive cheerleading. The gymnastics and diving were too damn dangerous and stressful to enjoy. The competitive cheerleading just isn't very fun and the music gives you fricking migrane. Plus Orlando sucks. Once the kids learn to tumble, get them into swimming if you can (none of the bullshite team dynamics) or into an enjoyable team sport.
End of unsolicited advice.

Is cheerleading a club sport at Texas A&M? Like Quidditch?
