If I had to take a flier on someone going undefeated this year in the SEC vs no one at all, I am probably thinking maybe GA or Bama, but most likely picking no one at all..
As far as A&M, they have an absolute cream puff OC schedule and 2 historically weak SEC games and after that all the rest could be a toss up. I include Bama as well because both teams will be playing with new QBs.
Also, though A&M brings back a ton of RB yards, I think they are replacing 4 of 5 in the OL.

Seriously, I saw their qb play in high school and he SUCKS.
He has a *tad* more protection now.
But thanks for your evaluation.
Professional and informative.

They really talk up Haynes King but his senior year numbers were pretty meh.
12 games
123/213
57% completion rate
1996 yards
20 touchdowns
8 interceptions

Mond was simply the best option Jimbo had.
Could've brought in someone better, either through recruitment or the portal.

Say what you will about Jimbo (my one knock on him would be stubbornness), but he IS a QB guy
He definitely used to be, before the current offensive revolution.
Hasn't hit on a quarterback in a while though.

I disagree, but I see where you might get that opinion.
Jimbo still runs a pro-style, yes. But that's why he's so honed in on getting HIS guy to run HIS system. May not work for everyone, but he knows exactly what he's looking for. Which is why I'm guessing he never made a move with Mond. It needed to be with someone he recruited and developed.
Pro-style can still get the job done with the talent and the right coach to run the system.

Max Johnson’s career completion percentage in high school barely broke 50 percent.
Longview’s talent wasn’t nearly the same Haynes’ senior year, plus he was injured. Here’s his junior stats:
184/266
69% completion rate
42 Passing Touchdowns
4 Interceptions
3879 yards
664 Rushing yards
8 Rushing Touchdowns

Weird deflection but let's compare senior seasons since you insist on comparing the two:
Haynes King
12 games
123/213
57% completion rate
1996 yards
20 touchdowns
8 interceptions
Max Johnson
15 games
164/258
64% completion rate
2142 yards
30 touchdowns
5 interceptions

I think a pro style offense works well when you can outtalent other teams, not so much when you can't.
Who was the last true pro style team to win a national championship?

I would agree. I think the talent is almost there. As everyone in the SEC already knows, one class doesn't mean shite. You need 3-4 good/great classes in a row to build the needed depth. Jimbo is starting to have enough classes under his belt now. We can't out-talent Bama or LSU but the gap is close enough this year, it's really going to come down to coaching. Well not really with LSU since they are still in quasi-rebuild mode. But you get my point.
That's a good question though on the last pro-style to win it all. I'm going to guess Bama? But I'm going to look into it now.

Fisher has rarely outschemed and upset better teams than he has.
He is relatively consistent vs less talented and average vs similarly talented teams.

Ehhhh, will diagree on his ability to scheme. I certainly wouldn't call him one of the best but I would say it's more than "rare".
But here's a good question, where would you rank A&M this year from a pure roster talent basis? I would say top 5 objectively.
New QB and almost new o-line, but the silver lining there is both those groups have elite talent. They are just young.
Every other position group brings pretty much everything back. I think I read that we bring back something like 88% of our offensive rushing and receiving yards from last year. Defense will have 9 returning starters from a year they were already damn good....

Who are three "better" teams he has beaten either at A&M or Florida State?

And don't worry Saban is going to bury Fisher for his little comment about beating Alabama and show him who is the top coach in the SEC and the country.
This is one of the stupidest things I've ever read. Saban doesn't care about that shite. Whether you're his best friend or just kicked his dog, Nick is bringing his A-game either way.

Why do you laugh. Occasionally A&M has a better than expected season..creates some buzz and expectations... then folds like a cheap chair when the lights are on.
Tell me the last time A&M went into a season expected to be a top 5-10 type team and actually delivered.

aTm will go 10-2 with losses to Bama and Ole Miss.

To be fair, they are the classiest fan base outside of Vandy.

Really cannot figure out if this is a Texas troll or a bitter Florida State troll.
A&M isn't winning the SEC this year. New QB and OL. But probably are not losing more than 2, maybe 3.

Aggie will be 8-4 next year. Last year was an exception, but they're a 4+ loss team every year, and this year won't be different.
