The SEC already had enough elite football programs. We didn't need to make the gauntlet any harder. Instead, we needed teams to bring in money. A&M is perhaps the best school to choose when you needle the criteria down to most mediocre program that will bring in the most $$$ for everyone else.

Not to mention it has opened up floodgates into talent rich Texas. Just this year alone, elite prospects like Monroe, Little, Cleveland, Whaley, Kendell Jones, and Deontay Anderson among others have joined SEC squads from Texas. And recruiting the state will only get easier. One would have to think that TCU/Baylor will not keep up elite status much longer, and even with Texas coming back soon, that's only one in state school that teams have to worry about going against for players.

What more could you want from an SEC addition? We have more access than ever to fertile recruiting grounds, for adding a program with UT level money, but a Texas Tech level program. What's the downside?

Quality work here man... I mean, I think even the aggies are too quick to bite on this very hard... but other than "agsessed" and "all A&M all the time" or whatever iteration... it's tough to argue against this in their current state.

lsu fan talking about money.

And yet with all that fertile recruiting we've opened them up to, they've managed to win the exact same amount of conference titles minus the Heisman trophy.

Congrats

Over the last 17 years or so they played, Tech dominated A&M. A&M is a sub-Tech program.

Actually the Yankees beat y'all on that too. The program that brings in the most TV money while providing the most mediocre program was Rutgers.

The SEC had to settle for second best.

Texas Tech level

These were common opponents last year for us. We blew a victory against AM, but Tech beat us. I'm not sure Aggy is in Tech's category.
