Dipshit. You ran away from Alabama for 40 years and you're shite-talking Aggy for "running away" now? frick you, dumbass.

Aggy is plain skeered of the University of Texas.
The thought of losing to the Longhorns yet again terrifies them.
That is why they ducked out of that Texas Bowl match up a few years ago, even though they had the better team.

Only the Southwest Clique understands why giving Texas another shot is a bad idea. I personally have enjoyed there recent mediocrity. I believe it has a lot to do with the Big 12 fallout. Congrats to Aggies. frick Texas.

Prior to going dormant in 1907 Auburn led the series 7-4-1 idiot. The dispute was about money, not running away from constant abuse from an in state opponent. You are a terrible poster. I'd love to see UT-ATM come back 76-37 all time baby go horns!

Yes.
This is why you are a cocksucking idiot. What the frick do you think the dispute between Aggy and fricking longhorn is about, you waterhead moron?
Alabama is your daddy.
Roll Tide.

If the A&M/tu game comes back, I am not sure the LSU game is going to move. Don't get me wrong, both LSU and tu are FANTASTIC opponents for the final week. Personally, I would prefer that tu is on Thanksgiving because those were some of my best college memories. I also think LSU would be a great SEC opener, or even Week 1 game every year, but I don't think my opinion is coming. I don't know if the Aggie Administration wants to lose LSU on the final weekend.
If it ever comes back, I say we put them on the front end of the schedule (like we used to do w/ LSU). Gives us an exciting OOC game to start the year (playing ASU and UCLA to open the past couple of years has been awesome), and WHEN they bail on us again, that slot is easily replaceable, as opposed to mucking up the tail end of conference play.

whatever you say, congrats on looking like a dumbass. It must suck to know that you'll never be able to overcome the UT-ATM loss deficit, ever. They'll always own you, can't hit reset button on the rivalry. Have a nice day.

As per usual, Tbird knows the frick of which he speaks.
In the unlikely event that the game is ever a regular occurrence, it will NEVER be on rivalry weekend or Thanksgiving. That ship sailed.

Yep, no interest in playing the shorthorns. I much prefer a cajun Thanksgiving.

It's a lose lose for us. If we win, then we don't really gain anything. On paper, we're supposed to win.
This is pretty short sighted. All it take is one or two solid years and UT becomes a strong OOC win for the Aggies if they win. Just because you would be favored this year (which we really don't know yet) doesn't mean you would be favored every year.

Our AD is on record stating that he wants the game reinstated. However, he also wants the game earlier in the season.
The reality is that tu simply doesn't want to renew the series. They want to posture, spin the narrative, and possibly schedule us when they are "good" again. But they really aren't interested in a true renewal. This was explained to us over and over again, that if we left for the SEC that they wouldn't play us anymore. And they haven't.
Anyone that says TAMU hasn't tried to play tu doesn't know jack shite about football.

It's really not. In your scenario, they have a couple of solid years. All right, we also grind through the sec west. I'm not saying we play cupcakes to fill in the gaps, but playing a "solid" team can only hurt.
Would lsu like to swap out their south alabama game to play, say an az state?
Scheduling aside, it's an unnecessary risk/reward scenario we'd be placing ourselves in with regards to recruiting.

I doubt it come back anytime soon
With only 3 non-conference games, Texas plays Notre Dame, USC, Ohio State, Arkansas, Michigan, and LSU in the next 7-8 years
Besides, Texas already plays their #1 rival in OU and Tech, TCU, and Baylor are consider Texas rivalry games

texas isnt playing Arkansas until Arkansas is a verified dumpster fire again. Theyll just keep moving the game back until it suits them.

Haha. That's funny. And understandable.

Or, playing a solid team could help propel you into a big bowl game or a possible playoff spot. Let's say A&M's only loss is to Bama and Bama goes on to win the SEC undefeated. Beating a top 10 UT team to end the season could absolutely help. You're right, it's a risk, but I don't think it's correct to say that A&M would have nothing to gain.
Plenty of other teams do it.
