one coach followed rules that were already laid out and had legal standing at the time. The rules changed, the coach adjusted, and no fuss was made.

The other coach tried to pioneer allowing any professional back into the NCAA, regardless of amateur status. That is the brass tacks. If you can't see the difference, then im not sure what else can be said.

The players that both signed are ineligible now, correct?

Local judges need to be removed from the equation in any college sports legislation passed by congress and signed into law.

There are bad federal judges as well, but local judges being elected/re-elected by the local fan base is a bigger problem with this issue.

"In the order granting the TRO to Texas A&M guard Bryson Warren, it includes "any member conferences, such as the Southeastern Conference" in the definition of those that cannot restrict eligibility for Warren next season.

That would, seemingly, prevent the SEC from applying its new eligibility policy it released yesterday. All of this will be heard in the Brazos Valley Courthouse on Sept. 4."

Don’t worry, we don’t need morals to make fun of Lane.

They aren't restricting the players eligibility; they're just saying you'll face repercussions if you play them.

Texas A&M isn't going to play him

You can’t make the argument that LSU is going to play players deemed ineligible before it actually happens

No, its still a developing situation. The only thing that really matters at this point is the mandate that Sankey just put out. Defying that comes at a price no one should be willing to pay.

That's my point, A&M will be punished if they play the basketball player they signed and LSU will be punished if they play the football players they signed, correct?

They have to put a stop to all of this. Including the Trinidad bullcrap that Ole Miss got away with. Go to the NFL or go get a job in the real world.

A&M should still be punished for this tho, right? Or is it okay when A&M does it, but no one else?
