There's a frickload of good reason$ why you quit and joined another conference. Not arguing that point at all.
But one of the little downsides is that you will always look like a moronic little bitch if you try to argue that Texas (or anyone else, including LSU), is or was afraid to play you.
Own the fact that your school ran off. It's a shame that you couldn't stand up to the bullying when you were in the conference, but own it.

I never claimed UTex was afraid to play us.
That makes no more sense than saying A&M is afraid to play the horns.
Fact is, the horns didn’t think we’d actually leave, and their feelings were hurt.
So they responded like a petulant child.

Just because they changed conferences does not mean they ran away from the game(s). I think Texas AM and Missouri both wanted to continue the game, but Texas and Kansas said "no". IMO UT and KU thought it would hurt (in the short run) Texas AM and Missouri, but quite the opposite happened.
