Which is exactly why growing/getting stronger fiscally is so important.
It’s all a part of the 100 year decision.

I will admit that the longer we are in the SEC the more humor I find in the fact that our in-state squabbling often reads like a CPA exam question.

I can appreciate how once you take a step back it just seems like boasting, but it’s not arrogance it’s children fighting over toys. You don’t call kids douchebags because of their innocence of heart.

And there you go now I am back in gay SEC Aggie mode again.

Texas doesn’t see themselves as peers to those programs... Texas wants to be Michigan & Stanford. The last thing they want to be is those other programs.

If they can bank, stay competitive (i.e. keep the billionaire donors somewhat happy) then they are in bliss. UT hasn’t been elite since segregation/end of any true resemblance of a student athlete, minus the miracle known as Vince Young being on campus and a few years of residule effect.

The admin shite on DKR the day he resigned & hand picked their own guy as his predecessor.. the message was and is to this day very clear as to where the University stands.

Proud of the University and it’s academic standing, but at this point of my life I’d get a lot more satisfaction out of more commitment to winning.

We’ll pop a few good runs and stumble into another NC eventually, but Texas will never be a dynasty like the 60’s under the current culture of CFB.

Vince young scored a 6 on the wunderlic. Would he have made it at Stanford?

“Texas isn’t even trying that hard to win, but rather keep being peers with Stanford and keep the billionaires happy”...Lol. You’re trying plenty hard, you don’t have a long list of billionaire football donors, and you damn sure aren’t stanford.

I couldn’t have made a more longhorn post if I tried.

Always thinking about Texas. And you wonder why everyone in the state of Texas thinks graduates of A&M are fricking asshats.

Always thinking about Texas.

We didn’t write the article.
But yes, the two largest universities in Texas are often discussed in the same breath.

We don’t wonder, nor do we care what anyone thinks.
And no, “everyone” doesn’t think that.

UT fan arrives with a bitch slap.

Hey Cardboxhead, try pasting the actual quote vs some hack paraphrasing.

100 year decision & you rubes are still playing for 5th place in conference & everyone’s court jester.

The OP is a joke and you spend the rest of the thread proving you are the bitch to multiple daddy’s and the cull breed of Texas.

Well done

Set aside a Texas comeback would be to Mizzou, can you honestly say you would of done any better in the SEC considering your recent past?

Full disclosure: I had zero idea that folks expected us to come in and dethrone Bama or anyone else in our first five years in the conference. For multiple reasons, it’s flattering.

While your “5th in conference” comment is exaggerated, your point is taken. Let’s have this discussion again in two years. If appropriate, I’ll eat my share of crow.

Ftr, the SEC move wasn’t about conference championships.

Hear! Hear! I may have an issue with Aggies here due to idiotic rhetoric spouted by some, but I am very fond of most of the Aggies I know. I would say the ratio is on par with LSU people if the truth be known.

I would hate it if anyone here or anywhere else thought this place was true to life in any way, shape, or form.

With that said, eat shite aggy and I can't wait for your next arse kicking!

“Court jester”was my main point, but you are delusional if you don’t think you are historically playing for fifth place in conference going all the way back to the B12.

Frankly, I was flabbergasted that you competed at all much less show up ready to play and even more so with Missouri early on.

Now, both of you need to realize the pecking order around here and take the place you actually warrant...right behind state.

Ed O and Les are penning books on the benefits of A&M’s move to the SEC.
The butt boys are all eagerly awaiting the coming of the Savior.

He's coming to resurrect the program at 7.5 million smackers a year for 10 years guaranteed regardless of W-L record.

That's desperation and obsession for SEC Relevancy right there.

There seems to be a pattern here. I’m sorry it may upset you, but it’s over. We don’t want to be around you anymore. Please stop making this creepy or we will have to get a restraining order. Just because we mention your name doesn’t mean you get to act all “ex-girlfriendy”.
