They are showing up with the downvotes though. Either that or the typical Clemson trash that lurks around here and goes completely silent when they lose in anything are the culprits.

The Aggies were stinky and streaky most of the year. They just played their best baseball of the year at the right time and then reverted to form at the end with not enough good arms.

Why? Fans knew it was coming. The regional format and our lack of pitching depth were not ideal. Injuries killed this team all season and it didn’t stop in regional play as Arkansas lost Holt (backup to injured starter) at 2B in game 1.

It is what it is and that’s how the game goes.

Someone should've let WaydownSouth know:

This one just blows my mind. Go look at some of the talent to come out of Tallahassee. Unreal.

Most expected Arkansas to get out of the regional until TCU was announced on a 10 plus game winning streak with extremely hot bats.

TCU may be a problem for everyone in the post-season.

Arguably the hardest Championship to win.

You saying what Vandy, State & OM have done is harder than winning it all in football?
Yes.

300+ teams play baseball. Once you get to the NCAA tournament, any team with a one really good pitcher can win a game, which could knock the favorite out of the tournament. Every single team has to win to advance. The CWS winner has to win at least 10 games in 3 tournaments over 4 weeks to win a championship.

In football, there are 65-70 P5 teams, maybe 5 or 6 of which have a realistic chance of making the playoffs, and a single player on an average team is not getting within a sniff of the playoffs. At the end of the day, teams are "voted" in or out of the playoffs, they don't have play-in games. Once your voted in, to have to win 2 games to win a championship.

Bottomline is that this team overachieved all year. Won the SEC despite having less talent.

I'm proud of them.

Perhaps he means there are maybe 30 teams that could win a baseball championship annually, and less than a half dozen with legitimate shots in football.
Breaking through for a contender is tougher as more competition and realistic outcomes for more teams..
