The last two games that saw a line shift like that were Indiana vs Illinois and LSU vs Ole Miss.
Texas should be very concerned.
Indiana and Ole Miss looked much better than their opponents during those games. Much, much better.

OSU went from -10.5 to -7 vs UW in Seattle. They won by 18

Bigger picture time for everyone who is myopic when it comes to the SEC.
The whorns are doing what the Sooners are doing except instead of a cupcake they have to play a conference game and it doesn't matter how good or bad the SEC team might be, the game counts towards the conference standings hence it is a VERY IMPORTANT GAME.
So what are the whorns and the Sooners doing? Both teams are preparing not for the team they will face this week but the team they will face NEXT week.
Yes, the line has shifted towards Florida which reflects that Texas is getting ready for Oklahoma.
They are still favored but it should be closer than the line would otherwise suggest and I said the same thing about OU coming at as 6-TD favorites over Kent State.
Savvy bettors got in on Florida at the opening line of +7.5 and are taking Texas at -4.5 hoping to land in the middle to hit both bets.
Nothing going on with Arch or Lagway or anyone else that would cause a 3-point swing.

Pretty big shift without much clear reasoning.
Florida gets Dallas Wilson and George Gumbs back but I don't see those players impacting the betting line that much. Not seeing any negative injury news on the Texas side.
There are projected thunderstorms at gametime, maybe that somehow favors UF?
Been saying for 2 weeks that this is going to be a lot closer than people think. Our fan base has amnesia. They seem to forget, week after week, just how awful sark is at running the offense. After 5 years it should be clear he has no idea how to fix it and is unwilling to hire someone who can.
I would take texas at 4.5 but barely and would be nervous about that bet. I would not be shocked to see Florida cover or even win.

Because Texas has beaten no one and is terrible offensively

Thunderstorms have shifted focus from QB's to the run game.
Of which Texas has none.

This is Texas’ SEC opener in the by-God Swamp against the Florida effing Gators. Nobody is thinking about the Okies this week.

Yeah, sloppy field game, bet the under

Wisher should be back. I don’t trust Gibson to have ball security and the other backs just don’t have juice

Line is back to Texas minus 5-1/2

A dog vs a dog .. arch vs lagway .. battle of the dogs boom

So over under should be 24ish

If the line moved last Sunday, you might have a point. The only reason to have concern for Texas -5.5 is Florida backdoor covering

A big hit coming? Billy don't be a hero again.

Texas played at Ohio State and nearly doubled them in total yards even with Arch having a complete meltdown, that tells you everything you need to know

Sportsbooks must be in DEEP on the gatas and desperate for Texas bettors to close before kickoff
