These threads are such a shite show. A&M has been in the SEC for almost ten years now. We’ve fielded competitive teams in every sport and won the league at least once in nearly every sport. We’ve had some shite teams and some good teams - just like everyone else.

Texas A&M has acclimated perfectly. We’ve always viewed ourselves as a Southern School, and have had deep ties to other SEC Land Grant universities. We were the natural fit. Everyone sees and knows this.

But the tu fans will never admit this, and neither will their enablers: the LSU sidewalk fans. Most LSU alums remember the long athletic association TAMU has had with LSU. The sidewalk LSU fans further the falsity that both OU and tu are more “Southern” than TAMU is. It is laughable to read how certain LSU fans would rather play OU and tu every year than A&M, never mind that LSU has no history with either school, but yet LSU has played A&M more than they have played several founding SEC school.

The tu fans over here, well...? What can I say? Maybe someday your wet dream of joining the PAC will come true. Then you can be with the schools you are more alike, most notably Cal-Berkeley.

A&M too afraid to play Texas. It's just that simple.

That Stanford team obviously is giving you a lot of spare time to contemplate the possibilities.

A&M isn't afraid to play Texas. I imagine the biggest issue at stake here is the ego of those in charge. Texas thought we would come crawling back, and even put out a stipulation that no BDF schools could play us as "punishment". A&M has done fine without Texas

I expect the two teams to meet again eventually, but Texas will not agree to the game until it benefits them (ie their team isn't terrible), and A&M doesn't really need it. Thus, we are stuck

Tell the whole story. When A&M announced that they were leaving for the SEC, Bowen Lofton said that they would like to continue the series. Play the longhorns any time, anywhere. Fact. Deloss Dodds said they had no interest in playing the Aggies if they left the Big 12. They assumed that A&M would totally crater and need the game to get attendance numbers. Now years later since it has not played out that way, they "decide" that it's time. They don't get to dictate terms

Tell the whole story. In 2018 the new athletic director (Chris Del Conte, not Deloss, the guy that all aggies have a hate boner for because he would embarrass them with statements and fielded an athletic program far superior) said he reached out to A&M to play in 2023-24. Aggies said “we’re full” (with Lamar, Texas state, utsa and other schools of the sort ) and that “you poor meanie sips NEED us now!!!” Then we turned around and scheduled Alabama, one of the nations premier programs and one of the aggies’ many new stepfathers that is far superior, thus defeating this need claim.

We’ve asked to keep playing just as much as they have. Both teams have said no. A&M needs to keep bringing up this false narrative though to make people think there is a team out there that cares about them. But we have our rivalry with OU, all of the in-conference teams from Texas, and history with a bunch of other programs. A&M has LSU and Arkansas, both teams that care about other programs far more than Texas A&M.

It’s all cult brainwashing. Just that simple. And yes, they’d probably be scared to play us after 100+ years worth of ptsd of Texas beating them so bad in everything that they wouldn’t want to revisit that. In the SEC, they can hide behind everyone else and never win their conference, but at least they didn’t lose to those meanie sip bullies

this thread is about football and A&M hasn't won a SEC title in football

"Can someone go into the intricacies of why they refuse to play each other in FB?"

A&M would straight up bitch slap Texas if the two teams played - not on the scoreboard but in the trenches and ToP. See, we actually have talent in the trenches, while the sips have dog shite on both lines. They are a finesse team, and softer than a baby's butt - kind of like Sumlin's teams were.

They are perfectly built for the BDF, and will continue to be OU's bitch for quite awhile yet. Better yet, I expect Arkansas (yes, Arkansas) to physically dominate them this upcoming season. It should be interesting to watch

You are lying your arse off. tu wanted to play us in ‘23 on the day we are playing the University of Miami. We’d have had to cancel. THEN, we’d have had to cancel a home game with Notre Dame in 2024.

The reality is that tu reached out to A&M to play in September of 2023/24, frickING KNOWING, that we had games with Miami and Norte Dame scheduled that we’d have had to cancel to accommodate the ‘sips. Del Conte knew we wouldn’t do that, but it gave him an opening to lie and push a false “narrative.” Don’t act like all we had to do was cancel a money game with a mid-major. Tell the truth, you lying sack of shite!

Let us know when you are ready for a long term OOC deal to be be played on Thanksgiving. The SEC set up schedules with A&M/LSU and Arky/Missouri to easily accommodate this in a years notice.

Talk shite all you want, but don’t come over here and fricking tell a lie. Who the frick do you think you are, Joe Biden?

No, they won't. They run a two DL defense, and Arkansas has an SEC OL, and Pittman. I expect Arkansas to run it down their throats. Texas is built (somewhat) to stop the pass first and foremost, and even then they will have a hard time fielding enough LB's for the new DC.

They are trying to covert DE's to LB and spinning down safeties to patch a terrible front seven

Texas has scheduled LSU, Alabama, and Arkansas. They are not "afraid" to play anyone, they want to play good teams.

Texas scheduling the two best teams in the SEC in recent years + another really makes the Aggie argument seem odd.

Gator, you are the worst-disguised sip-sympathizer I've ever seen. Maybe you should worry more about your own crap squad? I expect to see Florida running some kind of read option with their QB options.

Texas scheduled who they did because their conference is crap. And they will lose the majority of those games, because they are BDF soft. Like OU, but without actual talent in the trenches.

I think ULL will give them a run to be honest ...

You’ve used this “bitch slap” statement like three times in this thread alone, and nobody has paid it any mind

Try harder

The irony and lack of self-awareness that comes from a statement like this when a.) you’ve always been OUR bitch, and b.) you are the bitch to sooooooo many teams you currently play.

All this hostility simply because you weren’t smart enough to attend Texas. And here you are later - in your feelings and throwing shite at a wall hoping it sticks because you’re so bitter and salty. It’s quite interesting to watch
