You need to also acknowledge what kind of Team Texas was in September. If Florida was “absolute shite”, we were notch below that. You can watch the UTEP game prior and see it wasn’t a fluke, same mistakes. The types of growing pains you go through with a roster full of underclassmen. That same team has one of the best resumes in the country, if not the best. Integrity? Get over yourself. This is about the best 12 teams, allegedly.

No, it’s not about the twelve best teams.
It’s about the 5 automatic qualifiers plus the 7 best teams.

You can't lose to 4-8 teams and expect to make the playoffs with three losses. You can jump through whatever hoop you need to, but that one.
You weren't competitive against Georgia either.
This is why the 12 team playoff needs to dial down to 8 and stay there.
This stuff is only going to get worse with the next expansion. Shite teams with 4 losses crying for the 16 slot will be a regular occurrence

Sneezy, you're just trying to deflect from the fact that your best season of all time was bitch slapped by the Texas Longhorns.
Never forget I'd been saying for months that Texas would beat anm for no other reason than:
Texas ALWAYS beats anm whenever anything is on the line. ALWAYS.
78-37-5

You’re big on using the word Always. But people who have been around know that isn’t the case.
You’re too young to know that previously, the A&M v Texas game usually determined who went to the Cotton Bowl. The winner of the SWC was tied to that bowl. Back then weren’t 50 different bowl games.
So those were big games with something big on the line.
You must think A&M never went to the Cotton Bowl. But it’s easy to find out.

And if bama loses in the conference title game what about the ? Their loss to fsu (who just got rolled by Florida) would fit your criteria?

Texas just skullfricked you (don’t get excited Aggie just an expression) and dragged your lifeless corpse up and down the field.
They will do it again if you meet in the playoffs. Enjoy your first round exit.

Every SEC team gets to feel the sting of an L at some point throughout the season.
Some teams feel it three times.
Others feel it five times. And fire their coach.
Same as it ever was.

The frustration is that there’s no clear criteria. It’s way too subjective & leaves the door wide open for plenty of arguments.

Both saban and urban meyer said we should be in. That’s why this isn’t going away.
To be clear, I do NOT think we deserve to go, but this noise isn’t just coming from our side.
I am over it. Don’t care at this point. We have no shot to win it all with sark so it’s not like I think we are being shafted. We would only be giving osu or georgia an easy playoff win should we match up.

Were you in a coma, also? Did you miss South Carolina and Ole Miss pleading, along with every other school that had a chance to make the playoffs?
It's what schools and fans do. I don't think Bama should have been in last year. Not sur they belong in this year (I was at the FSU debacle). Watched them struggle with mediocre teams in SC and auburn (although I'll take any win in JHS).

This retard was saying Tennessee has a better argument for the playoffs than Texas the other day. Zero wins over bowl eligible teams

Lots of comments up here driven by a hatred of anything Texas Longhorns. Fair enough, we feel the same way about some of you.
The reality though is that SOS and head-to-head are listed as the top 2 considerations for the CFP committee, but it seems like much more emphasis is on overall W-L.
Moral of the story is that there is no longer any incentive for any Power 4 team to schedule a competitive OOC game. And for SEC teams maybe that's OK, we beat each other up all year anyway.
Texas is a bubble team. I could argue their inclusion or exclusion with equal vigor. On the one hand don't lose to a poor team; on the other hand, we won't bother scheduling an Ohio State next time.

Texas has won the Cotton Bowl 12 times
anm has won the Cotton Bowl 5 times
ARKANSAS has win the Cotton Bowl 4 times
* THIS despite Arkansas hasn't been in the same conference since they left the SWC.
Any thing else you'd like for me to look up for you?

And that’s the unfortunate byproduct of this situation for CFB fans. It means moving forward there’s a very real chance it’ll be week 3 (or 4) before we get any sort of marquee matchups.
