Looking at his 24/7 profile he’s 6’2” 212 and runs a 4.86 with a 28” vertical.

Shitty thing to do day before nsd but is that really an sec receiver?

He was being recruited by Tee Martin so I guess that Tee is definitely out the door, now.

My guess is he was involved in the McDonald's payment plan and now UT doesn't want anyone involved in it. Word out of Oxford was they were surprised when he first committed to them this fall.

The AL.com article and 247 says he committed in April. Maybe he was concerned about the (then) staff's future in Dec and chose not to sign. But if that was the case, why would he (a) still want to attend UT under a different staff and (b) be surprised the new staff didn't honor the commitment? If he and his "handlers" held out to "negotiate" further, well...you took a risk and loss.

It sounds like he could have signed in December...chose not to...and is now pissed he doesn't have the chance to do so now. Lesson being, if he wanted to play at Tennessee so bad sign when you had the chance...like 90% of all other kids across the country do.

The only way this looks bad on the current UT staff is if THEY told him he still had a spot in this class...only to then renege at the last second. Otherwise, the HS coach needs to get over himself. The FORMER UT staff gave him an offer. Not the CURRENT staff.

Would it have helped if he would have said #respectmydecision at the end of explaining the offer was no longer extended?

Good job Tennessee. Screw yourself from recruiting at a high school that produces a lot of SEC caliber talent.

It sucks...that being said...Tennessee has had one player ever come to Knoxville from Oxford HS. He was a lineman who saw action in 5 games with zero starts in his entire career at UT. They lost out on this 3 star WR this time. It isn't like it was a pipeline to UT. The talented kids from this school choose Auburn, with the occasional kid going to Bama.

More often than not, something else happened.

Yeah - Tennessee isn’t ever pulling any decent prospects from this school and the new staff was put in a bad spot here. Sucks for the kid though.

Pruitt was rumored to be dropping this kid too.

I'm sure KJ could use another quality target. Maybe we can get him to Fayetteville

Sure as shite Pittman wouldn't pull this.

Name the last recruit Auburn did this to.

Auburn held on to two recruits that had cancer for crying out loud.

Offers ought to be more binding with, for all intents and purposes, nothing short of criminal activity or academic malfeasance being allowed to invalidate them

I despise Gus, but unless I just missed something, he never fricked over a recruit.

Is Tennessee the most overall dysfunctional P5 program? Used to think it was Texass, but not sure anymore

I can’t recall one.

Tommy Tuberville may have, but I don’t remember Gene Chizik nor Gus Malzahn doing it. Bryan Harsin hasn’t done it to any left over commits.

Typical dirty Tennessee. Better hope this kid does not have any dirt on Tennessee.

There were no other SEC schools mentioned. Is he not an SEC talent? The coach shouldn't be needing to convince the media that he can play at Tennessee.

Yeah, but we all know that when Pruitt isn't actually coaching defense on a football field, he's dumber than a box of rocks. I thought Huepel was supposed to be an upgrade.
