That's just reality. Those days are long gone.

Do you believe Tennessee will win the East in back to back years in the next 10 years? If not, then maybe Mizzou never arrived, but whatever they are or did is better than Tennessee in recent history.

Never's a long time. But it'll take awhile and TN fans are not the most patient and realistic bunch.

Success in college football is cyclical. Even for Alabama. And that success is always one good hire away, especially at a school with UT's resources.

Now get back in your safe space before I draw a poop swastika on your face.

Let me explain something to you and your Faggie friends.

It will take you four decades of constant winning to get where the blue bloods (Big Six) of the SEC are in this conference.

You need to go back to the kid’s table where the Ole Miss’s and Kentucky’s talk about football.

I find the word never silly in regards to sports but while perusing an SMU board yesterday scoping out how they felt about us poaching Morris, one of them posted that we have trouble keeping up with Alabama and Tennessee. So, the good news for Tenn fans is that evidently some people do live under rocks.

If McElwain can do it at Florida, Leach could do it at Tennessee.

Tennessee and Florida are not comparable. Florida has a huge amount of recruits, while Tennessee to rely on out of state talent. Tennessee has nice facilities, but even if they get a dynamic coach it is still difficult for them.

There is a reason why UT has only played for and won one National Title in the last 50+ years....and for UT those reasons still exist.....

Eleven years ago, I sat on this board and read thread after thread explaining why Alabama was a "has been". They were a thing of the past, living precariously on the memories of a deceased head coach who could never be replaced in the modern era. Why couldn't Bama fans get their heads out of the clouds (or out of their asses depending on the poster) and accept the mediocrity?

I originally saved dozens of those threads to use later for steaming dishes of crow, but fate killed my hard drive.

At that point UT was already in decline. They kept falling.

Bama was struggling because of probation

Tennessee struggles because they stink

That being said, the Vols will be good again. One day

There may come a point in the future that people realize Tennessee doesn't have to recruit as heavily out of state anymore. That is a false narrative that continues to get used against them for some reason.

Very well said man. Yes Tennessee will get back to seriously competing for SEC Championships. All of you fans of other SEC teams were telling us Bama fans in 2006 the same shat y'all are telling Tennessee fans now.
"Bama will never be relevant again"
"Bear Bryant is dead and those days will never return"
"You Bama rednecks need to realize no good coach wants to put up with yalls unrealistic expectations"
"Blah blah blah blah"

I remember. Didn't Georgia go like 20 years without an SEC title? All it takes is the right hire.

That's accurate Dave and at least y'all have somebody that bleeds orange making that hire now. Just like Mal Moore making the hire for us. And yes, I'm very cognizant of how lucky Bama was/is Rich Rod turned down the Bama job. As for Georgia, you're not giving the Dawgs credit for the Coach Mark Richt years David.

ETA: My bad David, yes UGA did go 20 years without a conference title. I misspoke.
