Good grief. You must be on a pitch count these days.

Either this kid is mentally unstable or the victim is leaving an important piece out of his account.

The "victim's" story isn't adding up.

I read the story. Sounds like bullshite to me. Drunk guy breaks in to his apartment and he punched him. Unless there’s more to story he should be able to beat this charge

The article said he walked in the wrong apartment drunk, apologized, walked out, the player pursued, the drunk apologized again followed by telling the player he didn’t have to be a dick about it which in turn got the drunk KTFO.

* this is off my recollection from reading it last night, so if I flubbed any of that up, feel free to point out

I think setting up Hooker or a receiver would have been more advantageous than a safety from an already crappy defensive backfield.

That's about it - from the guy who got punched. Seems odd and I'm sure is a half truth. Still, doesn't seem that bad to me - unless something else comes out I don't see it amounting to much.

Yeah 1) I didn’t see anything about any witnesses, 2) they seemed to make the ID off of a football player’s hand being bandaged, 3) I think it read the player shut up and didn’t give a statement on scene. It sounds like it’s weak, and even if it’s not, it definitely sounds “pleable” down to a misdemeanor. I guess they went agg assault saying he knew the punch would send the drunk down the flight of stairs? Seems like an overcharge to me.

Punch a drunk guy down the stairs outside of the apartment, could be bad, depending on the injuries. If that dude sustained any head injuries, he might be suing

Reading the story behind it, I would play him if I was UT.

No need to suspend him for some clown coming into his place.

Once you exit a residence you can no longer be shot or punched. Legally

You are believing the guy that illegally entered someone else’s apartment because they were so drunk…..

Based on that drnks story alone there is no way an arrest should be made

Beat his charge
He could have gotten out of some trouble if he had calmed the F-down and not assaulted the guy when he was apologizing over and over for being too drunk to know where he was. He had to prove something like hot headed punks do.

I'm believing the Tenn player chased him down and made trouble when it could have been handled calmly by human error.

That goes into more detail than the one I read on 24/7 this morning. Yeah that sounds bad. You can’t pursue. The one I had read early this morning made it sound like he beat him up in the apartment.
