130 is impressive.

Loud means different things. Those lsu fans dont speak English, they speak swamp, so you can't really tell what they are saying

A weighted (dBa) or C weighted (dBc) reading? It makes a HUGE difference.

Having been to loud stadiums(The Swamp, Death Valley(the real one), Neyland, Etc there is a big difference..but you do not notice a big difference at all in those stadiums, they are all ear poppingly loud on big downs.
Go to an average stadium and you will very much see a difference(USF at Raymond James, Louisville at...can't remember the stadiums name). I mean the difference is very vast.

What does this have to with LSU?
We can only assume that LSU held the record before thi?
this thread would be a lot more interesting and compelling if the previous record and what the level was had been mentioned…

I don’t recall LSU claiming to have the loudest stadium.

According to SI Tennessee was already at the top of that list. How did this “dethrone” LSU?
LSU was ranked 5 and this article was written in June of 2026.
Neyland Stadium, Tennessee — 137 dB
Husky Stadium, Washington — 133.6 dB
Williams-Brice Stadium, South Carolina — 133.6 dB
Memorial Stadium, Clemson — 132.8 dB
Tiger Stadium, LSU — 130 dB
Autzen Stadium, Oregon — 127 dB
Lane Stadium, Virginia Tech — 126.2 dB
Kyle Field, Texas A&M — 126 dB
Beaver Stadium, Penn State — 122 dB
Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, Florida — 115 dB

Cotton Bowl at RRR was a lot louder than that

LSU fans don't do "Pom Poms"! Tennessee & Alabama fans shake gay Pom Poms!
Let us know when your fans/stadiums "Shake the Earth" like Tiger Stadium does with bona fide Richter Scale readings as evidence!
LSU's Death Valley is the "Cathedral of College Sports" & has been compared, resembles the Colisium in Rome. It is an Enclosed Concrete Bowl with nowhere for sound to escape! Neyland is metal pipes, bleachers and is porous!
There is, nor has there ever been a debate as who/which Fans + Stadium is the Loudest, Most Intimidating = Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge! There is not Louder Stadium on Earth or in All of Sports History!!
FACT!

I’ve always said Tennessee is louder.

Can’t be Oregon because LSU fans say that size stadium is a high school stadium
