No decent coach in their right mind will come near that program now...

I got kicked of their board for talking shite about Tennessee on the SEC scoreboard last year. Basically, the Tennessee board is a giant safe space. They really are a bunch of SJWs.
I got kicked off the UT board for some reason too, had never posted anything there derogatory to them. Very sensitive bunch I guess.

Former Penn State assistant coaches Greg Schiano and Tom Bradley knew that Jerry Sandusky, their colleague on Joe Paterno's football staff, was acting improperly with young boys years before law-enforcement authorities were first notified, according to testimony from former Penn State assistant Mike McQueary that was unsealed Tuesday by a Philadelphia court.
Two other former Penn State staff members corroborated the testimony of McQueary on this matter.

The virtue signaling by the Tennessee fans right now is nauseating. They were losing their shite before they even knew about the Sandusky bullshite.

I’m no lawyer...but Schiano never told McQueary what is being alleged.

If you believe the allegation, and you understand what the allegation was, then you know that Schiano immediately reported the incident to his superior.
Who told him to keep quiet, and so he did.
THREE DIFFERENT PEOPLE gave first hand testimony, one of them UNDER OATH, that Schiano knew about Sandusky and never went to police.

frick Penn State and frick everyone that knew about the child rape that was going on there and did nothing but “report it.”
True or not, Schiano has the stink of Penn State on him and that should be enough.

Well, to be honest it had nothing to do with the mob on campus. It had more to do with the boosters threatening to stop giving money. Clay Travis just got their attention.(the boosters)

And here's the other side:
quote:
Schiano immediately denied the accusation to ESPN: “I never saw any abuse, nor had reason to suspect any abuse, during my time at Penn State.”
Meanwhile, Bradley’s attorneys issued the following statement at the time:
“At no time did Tom Bradley ever witness any inappropriate behavior. Nor did he have any knowledge of alleged incidents in the 80’s and 90’s. He has consistently testified as such. Any assertions to the contrary are false. When he became aware of the 2001 incident it had already been reported to the University administration years earlier.”
A few things worth noting. One is that McQueary is merely repeating a story he says he heard from Bradley about what Bradley said Schiano said to him. This is multilayer hearsay and not immediately admissible in any court of law. McQueary never asked Schiano about it and the two never worked at Penn State at the same time.
quote:
This is a non-specific allegation based on a second-hand account recalled at least a decade after the fact. It’s also possible McQueary never mentioned it to anyone else despite years of being a cooperating witness for prosecutors desperately seeking just this kind of information.
Yet it’s taken fire.
No charges were ever brought against Schiano. No victim sued him for not reporting it at the time, despite dozens of Sandusky victims having active legal representation and Schiano being a very rich and famous football coach. No victim ever came forward alleging Schiano witnessed he and Sandusky in a shower.

Peyton allegedly sexually assaulted a woman there so that means they have to shun him now too. Can't have it both ways.

But Penn State aside, Schiano is a universally disliked piece of shite
You'll understand, of course, if Alabama fans put zero stock in a potential coach being called a "piece of shite", given how many times our coach was called the same thing. There is virtually zero difference between how people have described Schiano at Tampa and how they described Saban at Miami.

so did paterno
Nice attempt at equivalence. From what we’ve seen reported Schiano saw 1 incident, he was also a subordinate to Sandusky and Paterno.
Paterno as HC and Sandusky’s boss was alleged to have know about several incidents over decades and was also in a much better position to actually do something but didn’t.

Schiano is guilty.
Thank God some additional people are being held accountable.
