So literally no program has improved under his short tenure and he managed to cause, then subsequently frick up, one of the the worst coaching searches in NCAA history. And now they are extending his contract???

UT fans, honest question...is there ANY chance at all whatsoever that fulmer will eventually be UT's head coach? I'm not saying anythign bad abotu pruitt here, but fulmer seems like the kind of guy that would want to insert himself as the coach if he's able to. Is that in any way a feasible scenario?
If it didn't happen after the cluster frick known as CS17 then it will not happen ever imho

This is my favorite Tennessee.
"Alabama has five national titles and five SEC titles since the last time we beat them, but at least we've got Phil. Yeah, Phil pisses them off!!"
Phil pissed us off because he was squeaking out wins against Shula and doing everything he could to destroy the program. I'm glad he's turned his focus to destroying Tennessee's program and hold no ill feelings towards the fat frick.

No, that is what he signed for back when he was hired. They just recently released the details of his contract

Fulmer laid the weak foundation that has led the vols to being a loser program and now he is back to fix it!

Not even close. We watched and laughed as UT's program under his leadership went down the tubes. It has fallen so far that the entire UT program may never recover. Since UGA and UF are back on the rise (really, UT could not even take advantage of that time, so how are they going to now)
edit to add- Fulmer did do one thing for the University of Alabama, he create the circumstances that led directly to one of the greatest period in college football history, and it is still going on......

“Two days before he would be appointed Tennessee's new athletic director, Phillip Fulmer expressed interest to at least one close ally that he would be interested in becoming the new football coach for the Vols.
Fulmer's interesting in returning to the post he left in 2008 is the latest revelation revealed by the University's dump of all correspondence between key employees during its search for a new football coach in November and December.”

Not sure what article that's from but I'd bet your sex life and future sex life that it came from the text messages. In that case, a booster spoke with the President/Chancellor and said they'd feel Fulmer out but said he'd be shocked if Phil would do it. He reported back that Fulmer said "all they have to do is ask." Said booster then proceeded to discuss how everyone knew it would never get past the Haslams (well he did so more politically but the result is the same) and then the President and said booster praised Fulmer for the fine human being he is.
tl;dr - Of course, he'd have taken the job. What fans on tRant fail to get about Fulmer is that he'd do anything to help UT. Alums who truly fell in love with their school know what's what when it comes to Phil.

That is not a lot of money to UT.

Meh, karma has restored order. Happy that he could be there at the beginning of this dynasty and live long enough to see it flourish.
So here’s a non-rustled to Phil.
