We know because you're absolutely terrified to play us again because we're going to reverse the results from last season.

Idk. 50,000 cowbells ringing at the same time is pretty damn loud.

Starkville doesn’t hold a candle to Neyland.

Mississippi State’s scoring defense is ranked #108 nationally. Tennessee’s is ranked #19.

It’s a major step up in the environment and defense they will see.

Let's see, Tennessee has played:

Furman
Georgia Tech
Kennesaw State
Texas
Auburn
Arkansas

Not exactly a murderer's row of offensive juggernauts. I'm sure their defense is pretty good, it was last year too, but it's effectiveness is being perhaps a bit overstated.

Well if Auburn can score 14 there, Bama should be ok.

Stats oft times can be misleading LOL. Oklahoma was convinced their vaunted defense would keep them in the game against UGA and some of us asked if anyone knew for certain that Oklahoma's defense was any good due to the schedule....and were told it was confirmed and doubtless. If Russell is what he appears to be he will take a lot of lessons from the UGA game to Knoxville with him....

The entire preseason polls do this and 90% is based on last year and not this.

Our defense was terrible last year? It was historically bad. Literally got our DC fired. Thats why we hired Jim Knowles

Well, maybe I'm wrong on that, I thought I remembered y'all having a decent defense last year.

hat defense is legit, and that run game is as well. And Alabama isnt exactly stopping the run right now.

Right even Georgia's 3 string midget gashed Bama's defense all night.

Texas has the best offense of the group by any measure.

Oklahoma’s defense is always stout (currently #29 nationally) and they held Texas to 382 total yards, 24 points, 2 turnovers.

Ohio State (#8 nationally) held them to 336 yards, 24 points, 1 turnover.

Tennessee held them to 262 yards, 20 points, 2 turnovers.

You are correct. We have a decent defense and a dreadful offense but in the defense of the poll we should be 6-0. It would be difficult not to rank them that high whether they deserve it or not. I expect Alabama to win easily and would be pleasantly surprised if they even keep it close.

We got royally shafted by the zebras up there in 2022.

"By God, they actually called penalties on us. First fair game they called on us in 15 years. THEM SONS OF BITCHES CALLED US FOR HOLDING! We're Alabama. We teach our players to hold, because we don't get called. Even Little Nicky Bitch's tears didn't stop the fair game the refs called."

Cry, you Alabama bitch. Cry hard.

No, they were dreadful and to be fair KSU won 10 games last year plus Georgia Tech was coming off a good season.

Can't speak to how Kennesaw State's season might be going, but Georgia Tech is pretty much straight arse this year. Nothing like last year.

Don’t disagree, it’s clear who the real coach at Tech was

MacIntyre ain't it. Had a fumble and two picks against Arkansas and often looked uncomfortable in the pocket. Stats were inflated by one 68 yd catch and run. A good D will make him look like Arch Manning.

They'll lose more games, but who's ahead of them then? Texas Tech and BYU are, but c'mon - Tennessee would beat them both.

Should they drop below these programs???

USC
Iowa
UCLA
Houston
Boise State

NO!

I'm not gonna say you are wrong, but by that logic, how does anyone know if Bama's offense is good? The only good defense y'all have played was UGA, and you put up only 17 points. They held y'all scoreless for 2 out of 4 quarters.

Let's not pretend. Our team dominated UGA. You got a gift, nothing more.

I'll give this one to you, because I wouldn't have watched a Tennessee game just like you obviously didn't watch the Bama-UGA game.
