Being a neutral bystander here....LSU fans should definitely in no way, at all, have the right to throw stones here...like absolutely zero ability to do so. Zip. Nada.....to infinity. This OP proves absolute inability to look in the mirror.

That makes sense as you started watching sports when Tennessees hey day was coming to the start of their dark age in sports. You know no CFB prior to 2k, and have no true foundation to CFB opinion prior.
Off the top of my head on basic UTs historical influence on CFB that even the any basic CFB fan should know...
Tennessee pre-2k was one of the biggest national brands due to their need to recruit nationally. Up there with the likes of ND, so they were on national TV a lot as they had to play big time national OoC games.
Had one of the best historical winning records from 1926-early 2k.
Won the first official head to head national championship game in 98.
One of the first 100k+stadium OGs - first in the SEC and iirc only 3 or four programs broke this amount pre-2k. Mich being the top one, and Penn State for sure. I believe OSU broke pre-2k but may be off by a couple years.
There's a reason TSIO UT/BAMA game is the one game the SEC protects and works around, so just appreciate the history of what the conference was built on. Was even told once by a Vawl that UT is the Grandpappy of the SEC.
I'm sure there is more that the true UT fans can add, but any CFB fan, especially SEC fans, should at least know what points to why competing fans hated them so bad. Outside of own team fandom, it had some jealousy in it.
Current success to them is their hope of being back on top, not trying to get to the top. Why they are spoken about as a CFB blue blood, and not some regular program.
Now this all goes to mostly CFB. Baseball is different, but it would be like LSU baseball going into a dark ages for a decade or so in baseball and the fans start to see a glimmer of hope that will climb them out and will take them back to the top of the game.
