re: Legit Toyota dealers in Louisiana
Posted by hayden7cub on 6/11/26 at 1:18 pm to Reubaltaich
Look at Houston and Dallas for much better pricing. Basically, a dealership’s goal is to be the lowest priced in a particular area so if there is only one Toyota dealer in let’s say Shreveport, there’s no reason for them be competitive with their prices.
Last 4 cars we’ve bought have been from Dallas. One-way flight for maybe $200 and drive the car back.

re: Judge grants TTU QB Sorsby's injunction against the NCAA, eligible to play 10 gms in 2026

For starters, the TT president should be forced to resign for allowing this BS to be appealed when he is fully aware that gambling is not allowed by college athletes. No telling what damage he just did to college athletics. AD and HC, same thing.
CFP should let Texas Tech know now that they will be not be eligible for any post season bowl games or playoffs because they played/going to play a player was ruled ineligible by the NCAA.
Judge needs to be reprimanded and/or removed for totally F-ing up college sports even more than it currently is.

Somewhat torn on this. They definitely do not deserve any type of reparations. A large part of black Americans are already getting a ton of government support. But if they agree to take a set amount and never get another penny, that would be interesting.

Used to ride my bike to the one on Highland; same shopping center where Superior Grill is now. Right next to it was a K&B with a pinball machine in, which me and my friends wore out.

Player’s performance. I plaid D1, coached D1 and baseball fans have no idea that coaching plays such a small role in baseball compared to other sports. Baseball is the most self-centered team sport. No plays to call, no one to block for you. It’s all on a player on the mound, in the box, fielding a ground ball, etc.
And when it comes to development, fans are delusional on how that actually works. If you’re thinking that coaches are working on basic fundamentals each and every day, you’d be way off. Baseball is about individual work and reps and the approach by coaches regardless of the level is that they think the more you play, the better you get.

Friend of mine has a young child that goes to the day care at the synagogue and they were told to come get their kids. Said it’s total chaos and SWAT is everywhere.
re: For People Who KNOW, Who Is Better…Houston or Haven?
Posted by hayden7cub on 4/16/26 at 8:57 pm to cajuntiger1010
Seen Haven play several times in person and I’ve commented about him before. His throwing motion isn’t great, he throws his slants and tunnel screens with very little on them and I’ve always wondered if his receivers can’t catch but then again, one was a fairly big recruit. Seems like he’s very highly rated because of his size and decent running ability. Never seen Houston play in person but his film is really impressive.
re: Has anyone on here had a hip replacement?
Posted by hayden7cub on 4/12/26 at 2:03 pm to boogiewoogie1978
Had one a few years ago and here is some advice/info:
Do not do the steroid injection. Probably not going to do anything and you have to wait 3 months after it to have surgery.
Had mine in Jackson with Dr. Trevor Pickering at MS Sports Medicine. He does everything anterior and I live 3 hours from Jackson and I was back on my couch at 3:30 pm on the same day. I’ve recommended 4 other people to Dr. Pickering and they’ve all done great.
First two weeks suck but things really pick up after that and when you start to do outpatient therapy. I was back hitting golf balls about 3 weeks after surgery.
I’ll have to have my other one done soon and no doubt I would go back to Dr. Pickering.

Because one HR every ten games or so always undoes all of the numerous Ks and pop ups. Always has and always will.

That particular store on the men’s side went from really nice, high-end brands (Canali, Zegna, Hugo Boss, Armani) to strictly ethnic and queer shite or a combination of the two.

re: Why would a high level young QB prospect go to a P4 school to be a backup?
Posted by hayden7cub on 1/13/26 at 1:42 pm to jasonbr1975
There’s a 2% chance these guys play after college so then it becomes a combination of a couple of factors:
1. Playing time
2. Money
Money is driving most decisions now. Chambliss is a perfect example. He was playing at a D2 school making probably nothing so he gos to OM where he was making maybe $75K. Didn’t really have much of an NFL future but gets an opportunity and look where he is now.
