re: LSU and Powerade

Posted by hayden7cub on 11/15/25 at 7:03 pm to
NFL uses Gatorade because they are getting paid a ton of money to do so. And if universities are smart, they would do exactly what Bama and other schools have done - get money from both.
Why does Coach O’s name keep coming up? He was the coach here, won a Natty with some generational players and was surrounded by some responsible adults. In combination of those adults leaving, him not be able to cope with success and thinking with his johnson, he was relieved of his duties. He’s not coming back as the HC at LSU so can we just move on.

He’s also the reason why there was an opening at LSU when BL was hired.

1. Don’t care how much money we spend, it’s not mine
2. Don’t wanna hear the OP complain when our football program takes even a deeper nose dive.
Dumb arse OP, Woodward did not write the contract that A&M had to deal with for Jimbo. He was already at LSU.
Saban would coach here for what, 2-3 years and then we’d be starting this all over again. No thanks.
Said this in a similar post, not buying that Woodward and BK had a meeting where Woodward demanded that Kelly fire anyone and then Kelly ends up being the one that gets fired. Makes no sense.

What does make sense is that they had a meeting where BK said he was going to fire Sloan, Davis, whoever and Woodward said no, Sloan isn’t the problem, you are. Boosters, athletic admins and the governor don’t meet the night before to discuss firing an OC or OL coach.
Not sure I’m buying this. Sloan is a problem but not the problem; Kelly is.
You need to include Dallas and Houston in your search. I’ve bought all of our trucks and cars in Dallas and on the last F150, I saved right at $6K. One way flight into DFW and drove it back.
Southern Made in Shreveport used to be but I’m not sure they are still open??? Tato-nut in Ocean Springs, MS, are legit.

Tastee used to be great but not so much anymore. Shipley’s - depends on the location I guess.

re: We Are Becoming A Soft Fanbase

Not sure if I would say our fan base is soft but emotional, hell yes.
I think if you take a look back to when Saban was hired, a lot of LSU fans were like; who and he’s from up North and will never work out here. LSU fans are emotional and live game to game and sometimes half to half - OC, HC, DC, etc needs to be fired at halftime. Jay Johnson with his two nattys in three years would be fired if it were up to some LSU fans. Total idiots and the crazy thing is, they never shut up regardless of how many times they are wrong.

The fire the coach guys are the ones that amaze me the most. Got a great exit strategy but beyond that; nothing. As if who they want is definitely going to leave where they’re at to come to LSU.
This is a situation where the OP is just looking for the next thing to bitch about when it comes to BK. We get it, you don’t care for him.
I had one many years ago and just kind of lost the feel for it. Decided to take another run at one so I ordered a LAB Mezz Max and got it about a month ago. Absolutely love it. I feel like I have a chance to make every putt, which I obviously don’t but everything is right around the hole and the short putts are so easy. And, there’s pretty much nothing to think about form wise.

So the OP is saying Saban would be a no hire according to his criteria.
To the OP:
1. How much are you willing to donate for his buyout as well as the assistance coaches?
2. After we fire him, then what? You got some candidates in mind that are actually available?

re: For the Fire Sloan Group

So you’re saying that Sloan is running an offense designed for a running QB while we have a QB that will not understand pretty much any circumstance and that’s not on Sloan?
I think what is being missed here AI wise is what is being done on the imaging equipment to help improve readings - automatic calculations and labeling of the anatomy, AI enhanced images and overall speed of the studies.

I sell MRIs, CTs, etc and everything we work on R&D wise is centered around speed and AI.
Batesville. Oxford has the worst hotel situation.
I’ve seen Haven play in person a couple of times but not Houston and I’m by no means a QB scout. To me, Haven was just okay. He does resemble Newton in several ways. Tall, moves really well. I’m not sure if his receivers can’t handle his throws or what but his slants, tunnel screens and really most of his throws are thrown with very little velocity so it’s hard to tell how strong of an arm he has. Maybe he’s done well in camps and of course velocity isn’t everything but it really made it hard to tell what he is capable of.

I don’t want him running vs LA Tech, SLU or any other non-conference game.
