If there were blanks for signatures needed and the form wasn't completed, then the MOU wasn't done. UT may pay something to make this all go away but they wouldn't lose in litigation.

I doubt there'll be any law suit. Maybe a cash settlement, but I doubt it exceeds $1M.

Anyone here in administrative functions at UT should have access to a univ memorandum detailing which people are authorized to sign for and on behalf of the university. Pretty simple stuff. If Currie is not on the memo, then Schiano won't even start a case.

And, it should include some sort of language that prohibits the disclosure of the details forever.

Like they did with Peyton’s accuser?

Forever is never forever.

Lmao go read the SI piece about how all of this works. Schiano's leverage is basically shot if all four necessary parties have not signed the MOU.

Tennessee may give him a small amount to go away but they are on no way on the hook for millions atp

This.

Besides, I'm not worried about Schiano. No way in hell he wants this in the news because a suit only brings up the issue of Penn St. and he'd have to testify or give a depo under oath. He wants no part of that.

Does Currie not have the "apparent authority" to bind the university in a coaching contract situation?

No. All hires require the Chancellor's approval.

Is most of this board really so young and/or ignorant of teams outside of the South that they don't know how bad Rutgers was before he got there?
