Yet you only have two legit ones:1951 and 1998. None this millennium. Lol.

Your right. UT claims 6 as a university. - 1938, 1940, 1950, 1951, 1967, 1998

And prior to the 00s, the university claimed 2, yet y’all cry about Alabama claiming fake titles

less all time conferences wins.

When Tennessee won their last SEC title, they were 6 ahead of LSU, 3 ahead of UGA, and only 7 behind Alabama. Flash forward to the present day, only 1 ahead of LSU, tied with UGA, and 16 behind Alabama. Yikes

As for the national titles, they have 2 from the AP/UPI/Coaches/BCS/CFP, or as commonly referred to as the major selectors. Retroactive titles claimed decades later are bush league. Tennessee should be better than that. The rest are algorithmic rating systems and retroactive polls.

So let's just ignore the last 20 years.
Isn't that special?

Yet we still have more. There is no metric where you have won championships more than we have. The only timeframe you have more titles than lsu is the last 2 years lol. Go back any further and we have the same or more.

I'm pretty sure at one point in the early 2000s Tennessee had more overall wins than Alabama. There isn't really a place to check that, but that's what I heard

You don’t have a 20 year win streak

I can claim a lot of things. Doesn’t make those claims legitimate

Georgia only had one national championship prior to last season (1980).

In 1980, Georgia won the title by going 6-0 against the SEC's six worst teams. The only team that they beat that actually finished the season in the rankings was #9 Notre Dame.

Pretty sure that happened when Alabama had to vacate a bunch of wins from 05-07

I assure you that UGA was not hard to get into in 1991.

shite like that makes me feel like championships should only count if there was a real championship game. If you didn’t play a final championship game against the #1 or #2 team then that’s not a real title by todays standards. We don’t track sacks before they were stat etc. titles shouldnt be a stat unless there was a title game. Fight me.

Had to pull out the ESPN College Football Encyclopedia (2004) but it's listed as Tennessee with 745 and Alabama with 720.

You must have not have heard the news— the longer ago a championship was won it’s always more valuable.

Bascially any championship before most of us were even old enough to pay attention to the sport are most valuable or something.

Somehow this has made the LSU haters feel better about themselves for the last 20 years by saying this out loud as if it makes any logical sense.

UGA claims 3. We could claim more. We have 2 that are legit. Just like Tennessee.
