If Lance Taylor turns it down, according to Tim Watts of BOL.

That would be mildly ironic.

Too much swag on one team if Trooper got the job. Dre Kirkpatrick wouldn't like it.

Would be a good hire IMO. Recognizable name and Mobile connections for recruiting.

It would be a good hire due to Mobile recruiting connections, but I would not support it. It is a well established fact that Martin was being paid while at UT. Statute of limitations is all that prevented punishment.

And? He was 18 years old. If you want to bring up stuff that every coach currently on our staff did when they were 18 years old I'm sure you would find a lot of stuff you "wouldn't support". Get off your high horse.

I agree. I don't like that we'd be hiring a guy who absolutely got away with NCAA violations as a player.

I'm not on a high horse. I'm an Alabama fan and therefore I know that the only thing that can bring us down is the NCAA. I don't want to risk having a recruiter going around Mobile who was taught from an early age that money is how it is done. Not on Alabama's staff.
