I wonder if anyone has had as many missed opportunities as Oklahoma over the past 20 years. I can't think of anyone.
I can't either.

45 days til season we’ll just do the talking on the field and revisit in Dec. I think some opinions will change but Charlotte was right as well. Same canned responses as expected.

Ive heard 5 different teams fans say they will win a title with their new coach soon.
He's a fiery guy and wins the press conference so I guess that means he will win a title soon.
I wish they were in the SEC now. I also love how this time last year they thought Riley and Caleb Williams hung the moon. Now they get dumped and they were very overrated and they are 10x better off without him.
So Riley went 55-10 in 5 years with 4 Conference Titles and 3 playoff appearances.
Since all that matters are W's and L's i hope OU fans know if BV doesnt do better thats a failure.

Teddy Lehman resembles a . . . . . ??????
Anyway, he works on the Rush, a show put on by 1400 AM The Home of Sooner Fans.
He is just a big homer.

If he doesn't do better, that's a failure. Thanks for that insight. Illuminating stuff.

I love how the narrative in this turdbowl while Riley was at OU was that Riley and OU were soft and Riley was overrated and propped up by transfer QBs because he can't develop his own QBs and Riley would never win a Natty.
Now that he's at USC, you same people want to talk about his win/loss record and conference titles at OU, and how he's a "top coach in the nation". All of a sudden, you're OU fans circa 2019.
It's comical.

At Clemson, Venables would grow tired of the shoddy work of some noodle-armed walk-on running scout team, grab the football and play QB himself. Well, not exactly "himself." He dubbed his QB alter ego "Jimmy Greenbeans," and his exploits became legendary. There was the time Venables got sandwiched between future NFL first-rounder D-linemen Clelin Ferrell and Christian Wilkins, and it opened a massive gash across the bridge of his nose. He kept working as QB the rest of practice, blood gushing down his face.
This sounds a lot like Ed Orgeron's exploits.

We can understand what Brent says when he speaks. Big difference.

I wonder why he didn’t call his show, “In Lehman’s terms”…

OU is going to compete at the top of the sec period. From the big 12 and with a full coaching staff change a few months ago they still have a top 5 roster in the country and pull top 10 classes. Recruiting from the big 12 in the past 10 years has been what’s always held them back on the defensive side. That won’t be the case with Venables and an SEC patch on the Jersey. I look for OU to enter the SEC in 2023 or 2024 as a contender to bama and UGA.

Think of how many one score games OU has had the past few years against big 12 teams

Oklahoma's name, and then joining the SEC won't help land big time defensive recruits?

Don't get upset. You know this place... live by the troll. They're just trolling you...OU will have as good a shot as anyone. We'll see if Venables can lead them to the promised land.

No doubt, love this board.

I think he means they will win one before they join the SEC. They very well could win a Big 12 Champ title.
