Sorry dude, outside of 2019 LSU has been largely irrelevant on the national scene for 12 years now. They are squarely in the list of program capable of getting there though.

2003 , 2007, 2019 NC’s for LSU. How many other programs have won 3 and played for 4 NC’s during that same time outside of BAMA, which unfortunately LSU has to play every year. Up into the last two years, Georgia did not win any NC’s, and now they have 2. So how did you come up with Georgia HAS LEGIT SHOT EVERY YEAR?

Ohio State has won two and played for five so they're on that list as well.

Here's my qualm with LSU. They seem more likely to have 3-5 losses than to have 1-2 and be in the conversation. 12 of the last 15 seasons they've had that many losses. Now, I agree that the talent is always there and maybe the coaching is as well now but being really good consistently has not happened. It's been boom or bust and most seasons in the last 15 years have leaned more towards the bust side.

Not sure where this came from. Pretty sure I could have easily gotten into Utx - austin as the 5 schools who accepted me were all better academic institutions. Utx - austin would have been slumming it for me academically.

You're wrong.

They missed one in the first half and one in the second.

Ohio State missed one in the second half.

2 FG = 6 points
(meaning tOSU must go for the end zone, not a FG at the end)

3 FG's = 9 points
(meaning tOSU can not win even with a late TD)

This is wrong. See above.

It's a 3 point difference.

Not to mention on the drive leading to that first missed FG, Stet pulled the ball back from McIntosh, who had nothing but blue sky between him and the endzone. That's a 7 point swing right out of the gate.

What LSU has is the highest per capita in state talent. Saban even said this years ago and that is a real competitive edge, especially as there is no other P5 school in the state. As example

CA has (4) P5 schools
TX has (3) P5 schools
FL has (3) P5 schools
MI has (2) P 5 schools

LA and OH have the built in advantage of only 1 P5 in state school

For this reason alone, LSU has a legit shot year after year the same way Ohio State does.

Then use my 6 point example

quote:

Ohio State missed one in the second half.

The one at the end of the game?

quote:

It's a 3 point difference

So by your own statement

+ 3 points for UGA in 1st half
+ 3 points for UGA in 2nd half

= 6 points

UGA won by 1 point, so add 6 and they are winning by 7 just before tOSU kicks their last second FG, correct?

It wasn't.

Says you, and that it your BuckNuts opinion. I am not always drinking the Columbus KoolAid and my opinion say it was Tennessee. The game may have been settled earlier but the Vols (with Hooker) beat BuckNuts worse than MeatChicken did.

Nope. If Georgia gets credit for missed field goals, so does Ohio State.

It's 3 points or it's nothing. Those are your options.

UGA won by 1 point, so add 6 and they are winning by 7 just before tOSU kicks their last second FG, correct?

If Georgia makes both field goals, they're driving the field with a tied score, not down by 6.

So championships that are won in the 50s are relevant to how a team does today? Does this mean Princeton is in better shape than Georgia and Alabama?

You said "better shape" as in moving forward. I don't know how Oklahoma not winning a championship more recently than Texas and getting blown out in the last head-to-head matchup against Texas is "better shape", but we all know this is from your mysterious bitterness against Texas while dick-riding 10 other teams like a creepy uncle who nobody wants to be around.

You just admitted that it took you until 3rd grade to figure out that 7 was a higher number than 4, so I beg to differ

Yet you post on basically every single Texas-related topic with the same drivel, and everybody laughs at your old arse.

Take another nap. You're getting bodied once again.

Because in the CFP era UGA has been there three times, won two, lost in OT in one and come very close to making it other years. LSU has never sniffed a playoff outside of 2019.

Also see trends in recruiting. When LSU stacks top 3 classes on top of each other they might re-enter the conversation. Like I said, they are in the handful of schools for whom that is a real possibility.

UGA has played in 3 CFP NC games, LSU has played in 1.

Which is why it is said, to keep the local KoolAid crowd honest lest they begin to actually believe that which is not true.

BuckNuts played a weak schedule
They lost (at home) to Michigan and game was not close
They did not play in a CCG

By this logic they had no reason to be in the playoff in the first place. I am not saying Ohio State does not deserve to be in the polls, they do have strikes against them that would not work well with the committee.

Texas has the talent to be on the list......but not the coach. When Sark gets fired after next season, we have a chance to hire a coach that will make us a contender for the playoffs. Until then, as long as we have Sark, we will struggle with the conundrum that is beating Texas Tech and Okla St in the same season.

Isn't this the 3rd coach in a row that UT fans have said this about?

put Oregon on this list, and Penn State as well

Oregon, backed by Nike, will have enough NIL $$ to compete

Mich State; FSU; Florida; Auburn and even Wisconsin and aTm probably deserve to be on here as well
