TAMU's "12th Man" trademark

Fake tradition.

Absolutely not. I brought this up soon after I first registered here and they argued themselves into an aneurysm. They can't objectively see how the whole 12th man pride thing comes off as bullshite when they forced their way into a position to profit from it. They argue it's to maintain the trademark which is true but it should be fair use. They didnt create it. They obtained it.

Know your school is glad to be rid of them and their ridiculous traditions. Too bad Athens, Tuscaloosa, Baton Rouge, etc are having to deal with all their nonsense now

Profit from it?
It’s several thousand dollars a year.
You think Texas A&M cares about that?

I have yet to read an explanation as to why any of you grouches care.

Houston or TCU would've been better additions to the SEC, far more success across the board in athletics than A&M and much less weirdness. Literally no one asked for TAMU

I disagree — I like them in the conference. They have some traditions that are different and weird, sure, but all schools do some kind of weird crap. For example, we have thousands of immature students screaming STTDB.

That’s the point: E King Gill stood behind the team and was ready if needed; hence the current students standing the whole game.

When’s the last time one of your students ran out on the field and pulled a sword on opposing cheerleaders?

Nope. We had that pleasure last season. Came to Athens and gave us a fairly decent game and a lot of laughs. We go there this season

That's a pretty recent deal and LSU hasn't tried to trademark it to my knowledge. A&M adds nothing of value other than TV market, we could've gotten that with Houston, TCU, Baylor, etc. who have achievements instead of "traditions"
