Keep in mind that clip of sumrall was from the q&a part where someone asked about dealing with the expectations to win.

It’s wasn’t like he started off with that and said that as his main theme of his presser.

Florida fans got tired of Napier talking about his process and it taking a long time and when he continued to lose in year four talking about how it’s “a development game” with no sign that he cared about winning at all.

I’m not knocking the hire, I’m simply pointing out that his offenses gave Saban’s Alabama defenses fits in one out of three games.

The fact that the USF games were close alters people’s memories of how they played out. It was USF’s defense frustrating Alabama in 23 and 24 wasn’t a Saban team.

There will be losses for every team with a coaching change but haven't seen anything on this yet.

I hope both do well and Silverfield too. I can’t say I knew much about any of these 3 coaches before this year. American Conference got poached hard this year.

Very similar to what Napier said and would always talk about, just used the word “plan”

Golesh will be way better than Napier but we definitely would hate to hear that bullshite again

Saban talked about having a process or plan. I don't think having a process is a bad thing.

The OP is making a case by posting a video of a coach saying "We gonna win" (as if that's supposed to be so profound or something) versus another coach saying we have a process or plan?

Jeez, you guys are emotional wrecks. This is one dumb thread.

Sumrall mentioned having a plan and process as well, I’m sure all coaches do. Some talk about it more than others, but that’s not indicative of anything.

It’s weird to take random parts of a 20 min speech to try to make a conclusion about the coaches due to it

not always...

I recall talking to Etienne when he first arrived at Georgia.

He was looking for two things:

1. He wanted an opportunity to play for a championship. (He was never on a team that won a championship)

2. He wanted to toughen up and be coached up for his transition to the NFL.

At USF in 2023 they put up 260 yards and scored 3 points.

In his first year inheriting a team that won 4 games in 3 years.

Guy had success as a coordinator in the SEC and proved he can rebuild a program as head coach.

Golesh scored 3 points on Saban in 2023 and 16 points on Wommack in 2024.
