Nobody argues over which mediocre qb is better more than Florida fans.
The truth is neither are difference-makers and it probably doesn’t matter who starts. How the o-line and defense play will decide how the game goes.

Both guys are young. Philo isn't any worse than Gunner Stockton was at this point in his career in terms of game experience. Tramell is TBD ultimately, too.
The thing that is irritating to me is people who are super confident Tramell is the clear answer when there is really no data point anyone has where they should be that confident.
I just trust the staff mostly. Either Tramell is too hurt to be himself or they just think Philo is better. Until the staff gives me a reason not to trust them, I'll roll with what they decide. I would have been skeptical about starting Tramell for reasons I've laid out in here, but I would support it.

It’s really that Jones is more dual threat and our OL is horrible. He had several plays vs Texas where he extended plays with his legs where Philo would have been sacked.
Teams have figured out they just need to stack the box to stop Baugh and make Philo beat them which he doesn’t have enough time in the pocket to go over the top. Sumrall is going to get a lot of heat if the offense comes out and is terrible and we get blown out (that’d be 3 straight games with Philo).

I think the only way we have success on offense is if Buster can somehow utilize Baugh like Haynes King/Byrum Brown. I know Baugh is a RB and not a qb, but there are potential ways to do it whether it be exchanging RB/QB responsibility in the read option game, using Baugh in wildcat or whatever else Buster can scheme up. Still need the OL to play way better than they have been the last few games.
Philo has a better grasp of the offense and it’s obvious Buster has more faith in him. So I’m good with the decision. Trammel isn’t head and shoulders better or anything.
