So if this can somehow be confirmed as fake, does Aggy have cause to fire him immediately?
Deer lowered , I wouldn't want to be involved in that legal shitstorm.
Safest play is always to just pay the man to go away

I highly suspect this letter is fake. There doesn't seem to be enough real vitriol and frustration to be a hate letter from an A&M fan.
Isn't the typical play to call a moving company any arrange for a truck to be sitting outside their house? (Joking, but it's been done before)

the fact that the letter is posted on social media is almost a dead giveaway.
either sumlins wife is a dumbass for writing it and posting it, OR she's a dumbass for posting it.

Any updates?
Went to bed after we confirmed the barcode had a college station address.

That or putting them on Craigslist as a donation to a good home.

To those who say "fake"
I have received mail before that was not post office cancelled. I have pulled the stamp from them and used it again.
The envelop was postal route barcoded on the bottom. That is the same as a cancellation, since few would be able to do that unless elaborate measures were taken that would also include a fake cancellation.
The letter is really sad, but not out of character for what any coach receives each time they lose, or only win by 3 points, or run a bad play in the second qtr, or call out someone's favorite player on the sidelines after he blew a play, or ran a 33 sweep when the fan thought it should be an end around with a fake hand off, bla bla bla.
Coaches are the best (highest) payed people on virtually any college's staff. They should be able to put up with letters that criticize their decisions. If any of the major program coaches set aside 30% of their salary, there is no reason why they should not be able to make it if they are canned after three or four years.
Having said that, you can insult anyone with ease without having to play the race card.
Talk about his momma, or his wife, or his dog. Tell him his pickup truck sucks. Accuse him of liking tofu. All of those hurt and will likely hurt more than the racial attack.
People need to learn the subtle art of character attack.

Are you sad that you can't freely say it to them without fear of repercussion?
Curiosity has me here, you mean violence. So yes I would expect to not be physically accosted for using a word. Especially one that is thrown so freely in conversation by those it supposedly burns so deep.
Having a word own you has to be a terrible burden.

The barcode corresponds to Sumlin's ZIP+4, meaning all the way down to the post office delivering it.
Doesn't mean much if the barcode is to determine where it is being sent *to* rather than *from*.
The lack of the postmark is what is getting me because it should show the post office that handled it and, in turn, should show where it was dropped off.

And to the sender: did it occur to you that a child may open it?
This part is odd to me. Is Kevin Sumlin in the habit of allowing children to open his mail?
It may have happened exactly as it's being presented and, if so, that is a horrible thing for them to have to deal with. That said, so much of this seems like an attention grab. He's been the HC in the south for going on 9 years. Surely (and unfortunately) this isn't the first such letter he's received. The whole posting it now seems a little strategic.

Well, it has to only be an Aggie fan who wrote that if true. No other SEC team wants him fired.

In decoding the IMB barcode below the mailing address, it points to Kevin Sumlin's Address in College Station.
Does this mean the USPS printed this as part of mailing? Or is it from the Sumlin Family's personal mailing collection?
Edit: lol, I see I'm slow to the sleuthing, but it's not just a college station address. It's for Sumlin's address.
Also, I'm pretty sure I just discovered Sumlin's phone number??

Knowing that this would get this type of reaction, do you really think that she sent this?
People do stupid shite all the time without thinking about the consequences.

He will get 8 figures if he is fired regardless so why make such a big deal about it. He will also land another gig somewhere else in less than a year.
He's damaged goods if he gets fired under these circumstances. With the talent and resources he's squandered, he'll get another job, but it won't be as good as this - at best, he would be getting offers from lower tier Power 5 schools. Look at Dennis Franchione, Charlie Weis, Brady Hoke. He would be better off in the long term to try to buy some more time to get it turned around and keep his current position, and drumming up sympathy and emotion with the fan base and the general public could be a way to do it - see Les Miles at the end of 2015. I'm definitely not saying it would be a smart thing to do, but the motivation is there.

Let me guess, a black girl sent that. I would bet my life savings a race baiter sent that.
The actual words are as ridiculous as putrid as possible and looks as if they really just wanted to say the n word to give the "racist" uproar.

I went back and read multiple comments. Perhaps I can address some of them.
Hugh Freeze did it.
He called his escort (lady) friends and had one of them write the note for him. He was a good customer - why wouldn't Tiffany write a brief note to someone for him? Money is money after all.
Hugh is well tied into the Power establishment. I bet he knows the postmaster at three or four post offices across the SEC. One hooker might be enough of a bribe for him to get them to slip his note into the postal system without cancelling the stamp and leaving a trail for the postal inspectors, Walker, Texas Ranger and FBI to follow.
And if he can run off Coach Sumlin, he might be able to snag a new job, or an assistant position.
Shame on you Hugh! Playing the race card on someone just to get a new job after all you have been through....
Case solved!

Wrong. I'm just pointing how quick white folks will cop pleas when it's a white person but the story is cast in a cloud of suspicion when it involves a black person. There were no let's get the facts like you see with a white person. Nope it's this is fake, BS, etc. Classic white folks mo of blaming the minority.
I would believe this story more maybe 20 years ago. We live in a time where people like to play games with this shite for attention like the girl at LSU who wrote her own "racist note " in gold felt pen.... or the fake racism story from the girl at ULL, or the many other fake racism cries.
I wish I could trust these things, but many recent events have told me I cannot. That's what results from a world of lies and deceit.
