Obviously it is.

But they think they could give him if they wanted to. That is the disconnect.

Go on record, so I can laugh like crazy:

Which is a better HC job, LSU or A&M?

While I don't think there is a huge difference, 100 out of 100 college football analysts would say LSU.

A&M is a great program. But you guys are truly delusional if you think its anywhere near the level of a USC.

They probably aren't targeting him. As has been widely reported, they already offered him the job once, and he already turned them down. They know they can't get him.

And that was before he hired Chavis.

I don't know that we can debate things like better recruiting areas and who has more money. You're using terms that make sense to you, and that is fine, but I can't debate you on terms that I don't know what you mean by. In terms of facilities, you're dead on that USC is behind. The good news, they are in LA. The Hollywood glitz thing is what they used when they won 7 straight conference titles. Someone will figure that formula out again. Not sure who. As for now, enjoy them being down. I know I am.

Yup. Minnesota is a top 15 job fellas, they will start dominating again any day now. They just need the right coach. The past says so.

Recruiting hotbed? A&M

This is the only one I disagree with you on. I think Sumlin would absolutely kill it at USC and bring in top 3-5 classes every year. Again, he may not be an LA guy, but USC is a really good job, and not a lot of coaches would want to pass that up.

Yeah, California just gets no recruits at all. No NFL talent there...

Jeez.

Yes. That's how we knew that Cornell would always be a football giant.

Except we are overpaying Sumlin BECAUSE of last time, which would require them to overpay Sumlin too.

Do yall really think Sumlin is worth Nick Saban money? Because that is what it would take.

You are overpaying Sumlin because Sherman recruited Johnny Manziel.

Personally, I don't think Sumlin is even worth $5million, but as tamu shows, even rich, powerful boosters make stupid decisions from time to time.

Minnesota was fielding winners back when . . . aggy was. I'm not sure that's the best example.

LSU is. It is a top 10 job nationally. It dominates a state full of talent, while A&M has to compete for talent.

Yall should be a better job than Bama honestly, but yall refuse to live up to your potential.

How do you define "best job"? LSU and USC are clearly better programs than A&M. Not even a question. 95% of the attractiveness of a college coaching job is money. I have no idea what LSU can offer (probably a ton) because you haven't had to look for a coach in a while so I can't really say. It's pretty clear what USC can offer, and it's less than us.

if you think coaches give that much of a frick about how the fans support the team or where they live you are delusional.

If the NFL doesn't steal that thunder first.

USC dominated in the 00's because it was basically LA's NFL team. That magic will soon be lost.
