Again, not Clemson’s fault. But if playing in a weak conference all season makes your path to the playoffs that much easier, then be self-aware enough to recognize it and accept the inherent tradeoff — namely, that you’ll have to take whatever extra energy you might have had to expend in the regular season and direct it to silencing your critics on the field instead of bitching about things you can’t change or control. Fortunately, they’ll have the chance to do just that in a little over 24 hours.

In the same vein, why do people who complain about “but they play in the ACC” as a knock against Clemson turn right around and try to use “but LSU hasn’t played a complete team like OSU” to devalue LSU’s accomplishments? Is it not the same damn thing?

"Play the second half to run up the score and pad his numbers"? He sat out 6 full quarters,or a game and a half. Give him the stats he usually compiled in a game, in 2 quarters, add them to his records, & those numbers would never be equaled. As for him playing average against AU, Coach E admitted, post game, that with the crappy field conditions and the way LSU's defense was playing, the decision was made to run more,pass less, i.e. play conservatively. And yet Burrow's offense still rang up 500+ yards against that defense. Yea, just an average game for Burrow. As an aside, Burrow would have rang up N.Carolina for 70. In 3 quarters.

You guys and Clemson people and the national media keep focusing on Clemson defensive or offensive stats as reasons to support your narrative. Those stats were accumulated playing a very weak mostly ACC schedule.. So to us Clemson stats don’t mean much. Hence “but they playin the ACC”. Ohio STate ran up some pretty big numbers as well. Remember Clemson 24 to Texas AM 10. LSU vs TAM was 50 to 7. ACC bowl record 4 and 6. SEC 7 and 2. Wins against top ten Clemson 1 LSU 6. What else would you like to talk about
