Is the media going to name Mark Stoops every time a coaching vacancy comes up? Why would he go to Miami, a program that hasn't been relevant in a decade and just lost 58-0? I hope this isn't a precursor to weekly idiotic articles from sports journalists for the rest of Stoops' career

Better than staying at a program that has never been relevant and just lost 42-16 to a team that lost to Texas A&M.

You're a basketball school, Big Blue Titties, and there's nothing wrong with that.

Stoops took over an Okahoma program that had a losing record and two years later went undefeated.

He has been at Oklahoma for a long time now and a new environment could be good for him.

If Stoops left for Miami I'd be shocked. That program is in shambles & will never be "back". No fan support, awful facilities, no booster money, "Da U's" old mystique is gone. Hell, Stoops has awesome new facilities upgrades, is in the SEC, he has "MUCH" better fan support & is recruiting Ohio & Ga. well. He'd be a damn fool to bolt... JMO...

What's crazy is, Miami might not be able to afford to pay Stoops more money than Kentucky. He's making 3.25 million, and Miami might have a limit of 3 mil.

Stoops to Miami seems pretty logical. Why stay at Kentucky?

Kentucky can pay more money, and Miami had a very high bust potential, and unrealistic expectations. The only thing it has going for it is recruiting territory.

I mean I don't like Miami at all but the proper coach could do well there. Sure they don't sell many tickets or have fan support right now but winning fixes that fast. There are 2 more major programs in FL fans watch. Miami could easily be competitive in the ACC.

I'm Miami wants to be relevant again it's going to take a ton of money to upgrade their facilities. Their program sucks right now and it isn't going to get any better anytime soon.

I seriously doubt they could afford a big name coach at this stage. And it's going to take a big name coach for them to upgrade facilties.

They don't have an indoor practice facility and their borrowed stadium sucks.
